1. Solve (𝑥 + 2𝑦)𝑑𝑥 + (2𝑥 + 𝑦)𝑑𝑦 = 0 .


2. Find the Solution of y′′′ − 4y′′ + y′ + 6y = 0

4. Find the curl 𝐹̅ where 𝐹̅ = 𝑒 𝑥𝑦𝑧 (𝑖 + 𝑗 + 𝑘) at the point (1, 2, 3).
5. Evaluate∫𝐶 𝑦 2 𝑑𝑥 − 2𝑥 2 𝑑𝑦 along the parabola 𝑦 = 𝑥 2 from (0, 0) to (2, 4).

6. A) In a certain culture of bacteria, the rate of increase is proportional to the


number present. (a) If it is found that the number doubles in 4 hours, how many
may be expected at the end of 12 hours. (b) If there are 104 at the end of 3 hours
and 4 x 104 at the end of 5 hours, how many were in the beginning

parameters.

8. A) Change the order of integration and then evaluate ∫0 ∫1 𝑑𝑦𝑑𝑥.
OR
B) Evaluate   x  y  z  dx dy dz over the tetrahedron x  0, y  0, z  0 and
the plane x  y  z  1 .

9. A) Find the directional derivative of 𝑓(𝑥, 𝑦, 𝑧) = 4𝑒 2𝑥−𝑦+𝑧 at the


point (1, 1, −1) in the direction toward the point (−3, 5, 6)
OR
B) Prove 𝐹̅ = (𝑦 2 − 𝑧 2 + 3𝑦𝑧 − 2𝑥)𝑖 + (3𝑥𝑧 + 2𝑥𝑦)𝑗 + (3𝑥𝑦 − 2𝑥𝑧 + 2𝑧)𝑘 is
both solenoidal and irrotational. Also find scalar potential ∅ such that 𝐹̅ = ∇∅.

10. A) Verify Green’s theorem in plane for ∫𝐶 (𝑥𝑦 + 𝑦 2 )𝑑𝑥 + 𝑥 2 𝑑𝑦, where C is the region
bounded by 𝑦 = 𝑥 and 𝑦 = 𝑥 2 .
OR
B) Verify Gauss Divergence theorem for 𝐹̅ = 4𝑥𝑖 − 2𝑦2 𝑗 + 𝑧2 𝑘 taken over the
region bounded by 𝑥 2 + 𝑦 2 = 4, 𝑧 = 0, and 𝑧 = 3.
