F1:-Display help in Microsoft applications and some other softwares . F2:-Rename the selected or highlighted item . F3:-Searching for a folder or a file. F4:-Used with windows explorer for different functions. F5:-Refresh the active page or window. F6:- select different task bar items on an desktops. F7:-Uses for spell check & grammer check in Microsoft word,outlook,powerpoint. F8:-To open windows startup menu. F9:-To open Bios menu in many cases or Boot menu in other cases. F10:- Enter CMOS setup. F11:-Used for full screen mode in windows especially in internet browsers. F12:-Opens the save as Window in Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Word. Shift+F10:-shortcut display for the selected thing.

Ctrl+C Copy the highlighted content to the clipboard. Ctrl+X:-Cut the selected item to the clipboard. Ctrl+V:-Paste the copied or cut content . Ctrl+Z:-Undo an action. Ctrl+D:-Delete the selected thing to recycle bin. Ctrl+Y:-Redo an action. Ctrl+A:-Select all items on the screen(In document). Ctrl+B:-Make the selected font to bold(In document). Ctrl+U:-Underline the selected text(In document) . Ctrl+ N: Open a new Window. Ctrl+ Mouse wheel: Changes the view type. Ctrl+arrow+Spacebar: Select multiple individual items in a Window or on the desktop . Ctrl+Shift+Esc: Open Task Manager directly. Shift+Delete:-Permanently Delete an item . Ctrl+Esc:-Open start menu.

WIN KEY:-Shortcut to start menu WIN+Arrow Up:-Maximize the current window. WIN+Arrow Down:-Minimize the current window .

WIN+Arrow Right/Left :-Shift the window towards right or left resp. WIN+TAB:-Shift to another running program using aero affect . WIN+PAUSE/BREAK:-Open system properties . WIN+Space:-Peep to desktop making all open windows transparent (Areo effect). WIN+HOME :-Minimize all the open windows. WIN+B:-Open Notification Tray. WIN+D:-Show or hide desktop. WIN+L:-Lock Computer. WIN+E:-Open windows Explorer. WIN+F:-Open Search. WIN+P:-Open projector or extra monitor or display menu. WIN+R:-Run command ,to run a particular command. WIN+X:-Windows mobility center. WIN+U: Cycle through all open Windows. WIN+T:-Thumbnail Preview of active or running applications. WIN+G:-Toggle between gadgets of the desktop screen.

Alt+ Enter: Open the Properties Window of the current selection. Alt+ Right:Move forward. ALT+F4:-To close or exit the current program or application(opens dialog to shutdown windows). Alt+Enter:-Opens the properties of the selected file or folder.

Alt+ Spacebar: Open the shortcut menu for the active Window. Alt+ Tab: Switch to previous open Window. Alt+ Esc: Cycle through all open Windows. Alt+ D: Select the address bar. Alt+ Up: Move up in the page Alt+ P: Show or hide the preview panel. Alt+ F4: Close active Window.

Right Shift(For 8 seconds): Toggle Filter Keys on/off. LeftAlt+leftShift+PRTSCN: Turn High Contrast on or off. LeftAlt+leftShift+NUMLOCK: Turn Mouse Keys on or off. Ctrl+Tab: Move forward through tabs. Ctrl+Shift+Tab: Move back through tabs. Shift+Tab: Move back through options. Tab:Move forward through options. Alt+Underlined letter: Perform the command (or select the option) that goes with that letter. Enter: Replaces clicking the mouse for many selected commands.

Spacebar: Select or clear the check box if the active option is a check box. Arrow keys: Select a button if the active option is a group of option buttons. BackSpace: Open a folder one level up if a folder is selected in the Save As or Open dialog box. CTRL+SHIFT+ESC:-Opens the Windows Task Manager. Ctrl+SHIFT+N:-Creates new folder in the open Window. Al+Ctrl+Delete:-Opens Utility panel which includes taskmanager,lock computer,logoff (Used when computer crashes or hangs ) .
