Microsoft PowerPoint Practical Exam Questions

SECTION A: Basic Slide Creation and Formatting


1. Create a new PowerPoint presentation with a total of 5 slides.

2. Insert a title slide with the title:

'The Importance of ICT in Education'

And a subtitle: 'Presented by Your Name'.

3. On the second slide, create a bulleted list with at least five points explaining how ICT supports

learning.

4. Insert a new slide and add a picture related to ICT in education. Add a caption below the picture.

5. Apply a consistent design theme to all slides.

SECTION B: Multimedia and Enhancements


6. Insert a video or audio clip on slide 4. Set it to play automatically when the slide is shown.

7. On slide 5, insert a chart or graph showing data on ICT access in schools. (You may create your

own sample data.)

8. Add slide transition effects to all slides. Use a different animation effect for the title text on slide 1.

9. Create custom animations on slide 2 so that each bullet point appears one at a time on mouse

click.

SECTION C: Advanced Features


10. Create a hyperlink on any slide that opens a website such as '[Link]

11. Use the Slide Master to insert a footer with your name and page number on all slides.

12. Set the slideshow to run automatically with each slide advancing every 7 seconds.

13. Rehearse timings and record a voice narration for at least two slides.

14. Create a custom slide show that only includes slides 1, 2, and 5.

Bonus (Optional - for distinction candidates)


15. Create an interactive quiz using action buttons where a user can click an answer and be told

whether it is correct or not (use hyperlinks or triggers).

Submission:

Save the file as 'YourName_PPTExam.pptx'. Submit both the PowerPoint file and any media files

used (images/videos) if they are not embedded.
