1. What is the importance of the belief in the angles of Allah in Islam?
A. The belief in angles is one of the basic foundations of Islam. A Muslim should
believe in Angles.
2. Can one be true Muslim if denies their existence?
A. No one can be a true Muslim if he denies their existence.
3. What are angles what are they created from?
A. The angles are spirit. They are made of light.
4. Is it correct to suppose that the angles wings have muscles and feathers
similar to those of birds? Why? Do the angles really have wings?
A. To suppose that angles wings have muscles and feathers similar to those of
birds in wrong. Yes, angles really have wings.
5. Can angles take any form they like?
A. The angles can take any form by Allah`s Leave.
6. How many angles are there? Mention the names of the Four mighty
angles?
A. Only Allah knows the exact number of angles. However, Gabriel, Israfil, Mikail,
Israil are four mighty angles.
7. Can we see the angles? Are all the angles equal in grades?
A. Angles can take any form by the leave of Allah so we can see them. No, all
the angles are not of same status some are close to Allah and they are superior
others are not.
8. What are “Kiraman Katibin”? What is their function?
A. They are the noble recorder. They record everything one does says or belief.
9. What is the most significant duty of angles?
A. The most significant duty of angles is to bring Divine Revelation to Allah`s
Prophets.
10. How do we know that the angles take turn among us by day and by
night?
A. It is reported by Prophet Muhammad S.A.W that the angles take turn by day
and night.
11. Can Angles make mistakes?
A. No, angles can`t make mistakes.
12. Mention briefly the various functions that the angles attend?
A. Angles performs numerous tasks such as:
They descend on the virtuous to comfort them at Allah`s command.
They come to help the pious as they fight their enemies.
Some angles are at their posts in heaven, while some posted in hell.
Some angles are assigned to take the life of people on their death.
Angles were sent to strengthen the prophets and help them fight the
enemies of Allah.
Some angles protect us from all evils at Allah`s command.
Some angles inflict punishment on people and nations by Allah`s leave.
Some of them present themselves at congregations and gatherings where
Allah`s name is pronounced, the Quran recited and sermons delivered.
