CALLEJO, Hazel R.

BSCE 2-B
Reflection paper: The goal of education is to prepare the youth to become more civilized
and contribute to building a society where justice, peace, freedom, and truth reign. As
you pursue your dreams, how can your future degree help transform our society and
make it a better place? Minimum of 2 paragraphs Encode it and print it on a short bond
paper. Use Arial 11 and normal spacing and normal margins.
As a civil engineering student, I see my education as more than just laying the bricks of
technical knowledge—it’s about constructing the foundation of my role in society.
Education, in its truest form, is a blueprint for building a future where justice stands tall,
peace flows like a river, freedom spreads its wings, and truth lights the way.
In the world of civil engineering, I see my path as a bridge between my dreams and
society's needs. Civil engineers are not just builders; we are the architects of society’s
backbone—as what our professor said; To become a great engineer in the future is to
build a house for every family to feel home. To build an inviolable and sturdy bridges in
order to connect individuals amidst the diversity.” I will make sure that every project I
construct are not just structures of steel and concrete; they are the lifelines of
civilization, the threads that weave the fabric of a thriving society.
One of the main concerns of today is the environmental degradation, which leads to the
Global warming. To help transform our world, I aim to be the wind beneath the wings of
sustainability, guiding every project with an eye on the horizon of environmental
responsibility, especially now that our planet is slowly losing its greenest color. The
blueprints I draft will echo with the whispers of the earth, ensuring that every structure I
help create not only stands tall but also stands green. By promoting green building
practices, I can help reduce the environmental footprints of tomorrow, paving the way
for a healthier planet.
Moreover, my compass points toward equity, directing my efforts to projects that lift up
the underprivileged, ensuring that the roads I build do not just lead to wealthier
neighborhoods, but to every doorstep, rich or poor. By aligning my work with the
principles of justice, I can help level the playing field, building bridges—both literal and
figurative—that close the gaps between different social strata.
In the end, my dream of becoming a civil engineer is a beacon, guiding me toward a
future where my technical skills are the tools, and my ethical foundation is the
cornerstone of a society where justice, peace, freedom, and truth reign supreme. With
every brick I lay, every beam I raise, I aim to build not just structures, but a better world.
