Abstract
Knowledge integration and knowledge bases are becoming more and more prevalent in the systems we
use every day. When developing these knowledge bases, it is important to ensure the correctness of the
information up on entry, as well as allow queries of all sorts; for this, understanding where the gaps in
knowledge can arise is critical.

Knowledge has been recognized as an important asset for sustaining competitive Advantage.
Therefore, to be competing needs to acquire, utilize and building knowledge. Ontology Building
Knowledge Model is the main backbone of knowledge management, because having knowledge is
meaningless unless it is shared and allowed it to be used by others.

The study investigates the ontology knowledge building model culture among Ethiopian
Police of Federal Police Commission (EFPC). In addition, the study identifies constructing
knowledge Building and mechanisms of knowledge sharing in the organization. Finally, the
study came up with the possible models of knowledge sharing which could enhance the
performance of the organization
