Job Joint Director, Start-up Ecosystem Development (Contractual
Designation Position)

Roles & Design the programs and implementation strategies to achieve
Responsibilities the organization goals i.e Ideate, Incubate, Innovate and
Accelerate
Creation of comprehensive systems to track start-ups’ progress
Design the promotional activities in convergence with relevant
vertical heads to nurture and drive the startups culture.
Facilitate the transformation of potential innovative ideas into
products/processes by onboarding key stakeholders such as
Investors, Mentors, Technology partners etc.
Assess and evaluate the various Proposals/Projects/Policy
amendments essential for the development of Start-up
Ecosystem
Define, Calibrate, implement and monitor the High Impact
projects such as Incubation/Acceleration programs,
Development of VC & Mentor networks, Centers of Excellence,
Prototyping spaces & test beds etc.
Devise blue-prints for comprehensive digital platform to facilitate
on boarding as well as outreach programs
Qualification Graduation in Engineering & Master in Business Administration
Criteria (MBA) from premiere institution
8-12 years of overall experience of which 2-4 years of relevant
experience in Project/Program Management, Stakeholder
Management, Start-up incubation, & Team Management is
preferred
Proven experience in mentoring and promoting Startups
Prior experience in policy drafting or implementation, preferred
Prior experience of start-up investment & due diligence,
preferred
Proven track record in dealing with diverse stakeholder portfolio
2+ years of focused and rich experience in Management
consulting or Start-up/Innovation Ecosystem
In-depth Knowledge about Start-up lifecycle and contemporary
Investment models
Excellent Research, Communications, and Analytical Skills
Ability to perform in volatile environment
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.

1. Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

3. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must ensure they meet all prescribed eligibility
conditions, including educational qualifications, experience, and any other relevant
requirements before applying. Applications that do not fulfill the criteria will be
rejected without further correspondence.
4. Educational Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant
discipline from a NIRF-ranked top-tier Indian university/institute or a globally
recognized reputed institution abroad.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or
equivalent CGPA in their qualifying degree.
Additional certifications, diplomas, or fellowships in innovation,
entrepreneurship, public policy, management, or other relevant domains will
be considered an advantage.
4. Application Completeness: Incomplete or delayed applications and those lacking
requisite documentation will not be considered.
5. Verification of Credentials: All information and documents will be subject to
verification. Original certificates and proofs must be presented when requested.

6. Right to cancel: AP Innovation Society (APIS) reserves the right to reject any
application or terminate engagement at any stage if false information or ineligibility
is detected.
7. No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance (TA), Dearness Allowance (DA), or any other
incidental expenses will be reimbursed for attending interviews or any stage of the
recruitment process.
8. Final Decision: Decisions of the Evaluation Committee regarding eligibility,
selection, and related matters shall be final and binding.
9. Communication: All official communication will be through the email address
provided by the applicant. APIS shall not be responsible for non-receipt due to
incorrect details or technical issues. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
Terms of Engagement
1. Contractual Nature & Tenure: The appointment shall be purely on a contractual
basis for a fixed term of 1 year, extendable based on project requirements and the
candidate's performance. This engagement does not confer any right to seek
regularization or permanent absorption into government service.
2. No Right to Regularization: The selected candidate shall not be entitled to

regular appointment or absorption in AP Innovation Society (APIS) or its incubation
centers under any circumstances. The engagement is project-specific and shall not
be construed as an offer of permanent employment or a regular government
service post.
3. Termination of Engagement: APIS reserves the right to terminate the contract at
any time during the tenure by providing one month's notice or salary in lieu of
notice. Immediate termination without notice may occur in cases of unsatisfactory
performance, misconduct, violation of terms, or administrative exigencies.
4. Compensation Structure: Remuneration will be finalized based on qualifications,
relevant experience, last drawn salary, and suitability for the role.
5. Posting Location: The initial posting will be at Amaravathi. The posting location
may change at the discretion of APIS during the tenure, and the candidate must be
willing to relocate and report promptly to the assigned location
6. Conduct and Performance: The engaged candidate is expected to maintain high
standards of integrity, discipline, and efficiency, adhering to all policies, rules, and
regulations prescribed by APIS or the incubation centre.
