Objectives
a. Study the ideas coming from mathematics
used in Data Science from three main points: the
Probability, Linear Algebra, and Optimization.

b. Familiarize the student with mathematical language

commonly used in Data Science as well as its usefulness
both to solve concrete problems and to identify
difficulties.

c. Study some algorithms and mathematical models

commonly used in Machine Learning from a point
detailed view to put into practice what has been learned.

d. Practice handling mathematical objects using

Python.

Students
Machine Learning practitioners with intuition about the
applications and the difficulties in problems related to
Data. The student must be interested in the details.
mathematicians related to Statistics, Probability the
Linear Algebra, Optimization or the Calculus behind the
commonly used algorithms. It is also possible to take this
course after our course the Essentials of Data Science.
