INTRODUCTION OF PROJECT

Event management is a process of organizing a professional and focused event, for a particular
target audience. It involves visualizing concepts, planning, budgeting, organizing and executing
events such as wedding, musical concerts, corporate seminars, exhibitions, birthday celebrations,
theme parties, etc. Event Management is a multi-million dollar industry, growing rapidly, with
events hosted regularly. Surprisingly, there is no formalized research conducted to access the
growth of this industry. The industry includes fields such as the MICE (Meetings, Incentives and
Events), exhibitions, conferences and seminars as well as live music and sporting events. On the
profession side, event management is a glamorous and exciting profession that demands a lot of
hard work and dynamism. The logistics side of the industry is paid less than the
sales/sponsorship side, though some may say that these are two different industries.

Event management is the application of project management to the creation and development of
large scale events. The process of planning and coordinating the event is usually referred to
as event planning and which can include budgeting, scheduling, site selection, acquiring
necessary permits, coordinating transportation and parking, arranging for speakers or
entertainers, arranging decor, event security, catering, coordinating with third party vendors, and
emergency plans. The events industry now includes events of all sizes from the Olympics down
to business breakfast meetings. Many industries, charitable organizations, and interest groups
hold events in order to market themselves, build business relationships, raise money, or celebrate
[Link] event refers to a social gathering or activity, such as a festival,( for example a
musical festival), a ceremony( for example a marriage ) and a party(for example a birthday
party). There are mainly 3 types of event management:

 Corporate Event Management

 Product Launch Event Management
 Special Event Management
1.1 EVENT MANAGER

The Event Manager is the person who plans and executes the event. Event managers and their
teams are often behind-the-scenes running the event. Event managers may also be involved in
more than just the planning and execution of the event, but also brand building, marketing and
communication strategy. The event manager is an expert at the creative, technical and logistical
elements that help an event succeed. This includes event design, audiovisual production,
scriptwriting, logistics, budgeting, negotiation and, of course, client service. It is a
multidimensional profession.

1.2 EVENT MANAGEMENT PROCESS

There are 2 stages of event management process namely, Event planning and Event control.

 Event Planning: To plan an event we must consider the following areas of an event,
viz, feasibility, promotion, site choice/design, staging, shutdown, site map, event
proposal.
 Event Control: To control an event we must look on the following areas logistics,
negotiations, costing & cash flow, event manual, I.T, decision making and change,
risk management.

1.3 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

The objective of this application is to develop a system that effectively manages all the data
related to the various events that take place in an organization. The purpose is to maintain a
centralized database of all event related information. The goal is to support various functions and
processes necessary to manage the data efficiently.
Problem Definition

Without a web app, it is very difficult for any event management company to reach more
customers.

Without the Way App, the customer can get all the information by physically visiting the
company, which takes a lot of time.

Without web app, we can hardly take advantage of any service of the company.

With the help of web app, we can do all these things very easily while sitting at home.

From the web app, we can easily get all the information of the company and can use all their
services.

We can chat with the company with the help of this Web App without web app it is not possible
for us.

By using this web app we can easily make payments at sitting home.
System Analysis and Feasibility Study
1.4 FEASIBILITY STUDY
A feasibility study is a high-level capsule version of the entire System analysis and Design
Process. The study begins by classifying the problem definition. Feasibility is to determine if it’s
worth doing. Once an acceptance problem definition has been generated, the analyst develops a
logical model of the system. A search for alternatives is analyzed carefully. There are 3 parts in
feasibility study.

1.4.1 Operational Feasibility

It is very easy to use or operate this event management web app,

Because it has very easy and user friendly interface which helps this whole web app very easy to
use.

The user interface and other functionality are designed in a manner so that use can easily relate
with this web app and feel very easy to use.

We gave all the navigations on the top of the web screen so that user can easily see them and the
do not to worry about finding the navigation bar.

We use very modern design for front end part which gives an attractive look to our website.

1.4.2 Technical Feasibility

This involves questions such as whether the technology needed for the system exists, how
difficult it will be to build, and whether the firm has enough experience using that technology.
The assessment is based on outline design of system requirements in terms of input,
processes, output, fields, programs and procedures. This can be qualified in terms of volume
of data, trends, frequency of updating inorder to give an introduction to the technical system.
The application is the fact that it has been developed on windows 10 platform and a high
configuration of 1GB RAM on Intel Pentium Dual core processor. This is technically feasible
.The technical feasibility assessment is focused on gaining an understanding of the present
technical resources of the organization and their applicability to the expected needs of the
proposed system. It is an evaluation of the hardware and software and how it meets the need
of the proposed system.

1.4.3 Economical Feasibility

Establishing the cost-effectiveness of the proposed system i.e. if the benefits do not outweigh
the costs then it is not worth going ahead. In the fast paced world today there is a great need of
online social networking facilities.

Thus the benefits of this project in the current scenario make it economically feasible.

The purpose of the economic feasibility assessment is to determine the positive economic
benefits to the organization that the proposed system will provide.

It includes quantification and identification of all the benefits expected. This assessment
typically involves a cost/benefits analysis.

This web app has very low cost as compare to mobile app and it is very cheap to maintain this
web app.
Scope of the proposed system
The objective of this application is to develop a system that effectively manages all the data
related to the various events that take place in an organization. The purpose is to maintain a
centralized database of all event related information. The goal is to support various functions and
processes necessary to manage the data efficiently.

Event Management System is an Online event management software project that serves the
functionality of an event manager. The system allows only registered users to login and new
users are allowed to register on the application.

This is a web application but desktop application of the same application is also available. The
project provides most of the basic functionality required for an event.

It allows the user to select from a list of event types. Once the user enters an event type
eg(Marriage, Stage Show etc), the system then allows the user to select the date and time of
event, place and the event equipment’s.

All this data is logged in the database and the user is setting up his username and password while
registering .

The data is then sent to the administrator (website owner) and they may interact with the client as
per his requirements and his contact data stored in the database.

(i) Front End:

Html:

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for creating web
pages and web applications. With Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript it forms a triad
of cornerstone technologies for the World Wide Web. Web browsers receive HTML documents
from a web server or from local storage and render them into multimedia web pages. HTML
describes the structure of a web page semantically and originally included cues for the
appearance of the [Link] elements are the building blocks of HTML pages. With
HTML constructs, images and other objects, such as interactive forms, may be embedded into
the rendered page. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting
structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items.
HTML elements are delineated by tags, written using angle brackets. Tags such as <img
/> and <input /> introduce content into the page directly. Others such as <p>...</p> surround and
provide information about document text and may include other tags as sub-elements. Browsers
do not display the HTML tags, but use them to interpret the content of the [Link] can
embed programs written in a scripting language such as JavaScript which affect the behavior and
content of web pages. Inclusion of CSS defines the look and layout of content. The World Wide
Web Consortium (W3C), maintainer of both the HTML and the CSS standards, has encouraged
the use of CSS over explicit presentational HTML.
Css:

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language used to describe the presentation
of a document written in HTML or XML (including XML dialects such
as SVG, MathML or XHTML). CSS describes how elements should be rendered on screen,
on paper, in speech, or on other media.

CSS is among the core languages of the open web and is standardized across Web
browsers according to W3C specifications. Previously, the development of various parts
of CSS specification was done synchronously,

which allowed the versioning of the latest recommendations. You might have heard
about CSS1, CSS2.1, or even CSS3.

There will never be a CSS3 or a CSS4; rather, everything is now CSS without a version
number.

After CSS 2.1, the scope of the specification increased significantly and the progress on
different CSS modules started to differ so much, that it became more effective
to develop and release recommendations separately per module.

Instead of versioning the CSS specification,

W3C now periodically takes a snapshot of the latest stable state of the CSS
specification and individual modules progress. CSS modules now have version numbers,
or levels, such as CSS Color Module Level 5
JavaScript:

JavaScript is a scripting or programming language that allows you to implement

complex features on web pages — every time a web page does more than just sit there
and display static information for you to look at — displaying timely content updates,
interactive maps, animated 2D/3D graphics,

scrolling video jukeboxes, etc. — you can bet that JavaScript is probably involved. It is
the third layer of the layer cake of standard web technologies,

two of which (HTML and CSS) we have covered in much more detail in other parts of the
Learning Area.
(ii) Back End:

PHP:

PHP is a server-side scripting language designed primarily for web development but also used as
a general-purpose programming language. Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994,the
PHP reference implementation is now produced by The PHP Development Team. PHP originally
stood for personal home page but it now stands for the recursive acronym PHP: Hypertext
Preprocessor.

PHP code may be embedded into HTML or HTML5 code, or it can be used in combination with
various web template systems, web content management systems and web frameworks. PHP
code is usually processed by a PHP interpreter implemented as a module in the web server or as
a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) executable. The web server combines the results of the
interpreted and executed PHP code, which may be any type of data, including images, with the
generated web page. PHP code may also be executed with a command-line interface (CLI) and
can be used to implement standalone graphical applications.

The standard PHP interpreter, powered by the Zend Engine, is free software released under
the PHP License. PHP has been widely ported and can be deployed on most web servers on
almost every operating system and platform, free of charge.

The PHP language evolved without a written formal specification or standard until 2014, leaving
the canonical PHP interpreter as a de facto standard. Since 2014 work has gone on to create a
formal PHP [Link] development began in 1995 when Rasmus Lerdorf wrote
several Common Gateway Interface (CGI) programs in C, which he used to maintain
his personal homepage. He extended them to work with web forms and to communicate
with databases, and called this implementation "Personal Home Page/Forms Interpreter" or
PHP/FI.

PHP/FI could help to build simple, dynamic web applications. To accelerate bug reporting and to
improve the code, Lerdorf initially announced the release of PHP/FI as "Personal Home Page
Tools(PHPTools)version1.0"onthe Usenet discussiongroup [Link]
i on June 8, 1995. This release already had the basic functionality that PHP has as of 2013. This
included Perl-like variables, form handling, and the ability to embed HTML.
The syntax resembled that of Perl but was simpler, more limited and less consistent.

Lerdorf did not intend the early PHP to become a new programming language, but it grew
organically, with Lerdorf noting in retrospect. A development team began to form and, after
months of work and beta testing, officially released PHP/FI 2 in November 1997.

The fact that PHP lacked an original overall design but instead developed organically has led to
inconsistent naming of functions and inconsistent ordering of their parameters. In some cases,
the function names were chosen to match the lower-level libraries which PHP was
"wrapping",while in some very early versions of PHP the length of the function names was used
internally as a hash function, so names were chosen to improve the distribution of hash values.
MySQL:

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS). Its name is a

combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius' daughter, and "SQL",

the abbreviation for Structured Query Language. The MySQL development project has made
its source code available under the terms of the GNU General Public License,

as well as under a variety of proprietary agreements. MySQL was owned and sponsored by a
single for-profit firm, the Swedish company MySQL AB, now owned by Oracle Corporation.

Limitation And Future Scope:

Limitations:
All though I have put my best efforts to make the software flexible easy to
operate, but limitations cannot be ruled out even by me .
Though the software presents abroad range of options to its user some intricate
options could not be converted into it partly because of Logistic and partly due to
lack of sophistication positive of time was also major constraint.
Thus it was not possible to make the software full proof and dynamic lake of time
also compared me to ignore some parts such as sorting old result of the candidate
etc.
Considerable efforts have made the software easy to operate even for the people
not related to the field of computers but it is not acknowledged that a layman
May find it a bit problematic at the first instance the user is provided help at each
step of his convenience in working with the software.
