ABSTRACT

  College portal is a web based application. This


application is developed to cater the needs of the college
activities and reveal the information about the college.

 . It is a tool that helps a company manage its data,


applications, and information more easily, and through
personalized views .
 . Some portal solutions today are able to integrate legacy
applications, other portals objects, and handle thousands
of user requests.

INTRODUCTION

The college portal is developed with two basic modules


which are designed to input the information. The other
modules are developed to view the information from the
application.
It is developed in [Link] and a database of
SQL Server to keep the information about the college.
 Construction of College Portal:
College portal is developed with the following features;

 Customization
 Collaboration

PROCESS

For this web based application we have


adopted three processes.
 The first one is developing the front end design with
HTML pages.
 The second one is database design.
 The last one is connecting the database with the front
end user interface design screens.
To update and maintain web applications
without distributing and installing software on
potentially thousands of client computers.
 Common web applications include webmail, online
retail sales, online auctions, wikis and many other
functions.

CONCLUSION
The project has been appreciated by all the users.

It is easy to use, since it uses .Net Technologies with


SQL Server database

User friendly screens are provided.

The usage of software increases the efficiency,


decreases the effort.

It has been efficiently employed as a Site management


mechanism.

It has been thoroughly tested and implemented.
