Theme: Identity

March 19, 2026
Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie
Poland
This event is open to the public.
Tickets are available.

This year’s TEDx Youth event invites young voices, innovators, and storytellers to take the stage under the theme Identity. From culture and creativity, personal journeys to global challenges, our speakers will explore the many ways identity is formed, expressed, and reimagined.
Through powerful talks, performances, and ideas worth spreading, we’ll reflect on the stories that define us, the challenges that shape us and the communities that connect us.

TEDx Youth: Identity is more than just an event- it’s a chance to listen, question, and be inspired by perspectives that encourage us to embrace who we are and imagine who we can become in the future.

"I'm not like them, I'm just like you" Hi, I'm Alan, and I'm a second year student of the 2nd Highschool in Szczecin! I have already been a tedx speaker once, and found it to be one of the coolest things ever, which is why I'm doing it again this year. Outside of tedx events, I devote almost all of my time to MUNs - both delegating and chairing :). Additionally I love doing sports, drinking dubious amounts of coffee and doing the IB (rip). Hope to see you all at tedx!

"Which me is real me?" Hi, I'm Franek, and ever since I started high school, I've thought a lot about how we change ourselfselves in the presence of others, and whether this is something natural. I've had some experience with public speaking, but I can't wait to see what kind of experience Tedx will be. In my free time, I love to exercise: swimming, hiking, biking, all sorts of sports, I'm also a huge movie fan, and reading is something that has always accompanied me. I think that Tedx is going to be something great, hope you'll enjoy it too!

"Social media: the influence it makes on youth" Hey I'm Kuba I love doing research on psychology and things this sort. I also like learning about UE and how it improves Europe. Im a very energetic person as many people say, Many also say that i have really big hopes for my future. Tedx is just the start of my speech and project adventure and I'm really happy to be a part of TEDx.

"The Pieces We Carry: How people shape who we are" Hey I’m Klaudia! My daily life revolves around the world of the EU and debating, but the stage is where I truly feel at home – whether I’m delivering a speech or writing a new script. My friends know me as a restless optimist, but the moment I shift into "task mode," I’m all about grit and pure professionalism. Even though I hold a microphone more often than a football these days, years on the pitch taught me how to fight for my goals in any situation. When I’m not planning new projects or taking the TEDx stage, you’ll most likely find me at a café with my friends.

''Being Misunderstood by other people and ourselves'' Hi there! My name is Maciej. Self identity is a topic that I have especially recently thought about in terms of the relationships that I have with many different people, be it loved ones, friends or family. I greatly enjoy speaking directly to people and sharing things that I'm passionate about or love to put my time into. Being misunderstood often comes as a strong feeling or emotional state, which can be difficult to navigate. In my talk, I would like to propose some things we could do when we face being misunderstood not only by the people in our surroundings, but also by ourselves as we may tend to appeal to our environment or other external factors. We make mistakes in terms of our judgement or course of action, and I think we can work towards acknowledging more often when we do so and what can be done differently.

''Mass produced minds: are we all made in China?'' Hi! My name is Rocio, and I am a third-year high school student at LO1 in Szczecin. I believe the world we live in constantly shapes who we are often more than we realize. One of my biggest interests is the international community and global affairs. I am part of the City Youth Council which is my first step into the world of governance. TEDx is an incredible opportunity for me to share my perspective on identity, the very concept that defines who we are. In my talk, “Mass produced minds: Are we all made in China?”, I will explore how our identities are formed in a world driven by algorithms, trends, and social influence. I will question whether our opinions, tastes, and even personalities are truly our own, or subtly manufactured by the systems around us. Are we actually individuals or products of mass production?

''Becoming Through Breaking: How Struggles Shape Our Identity'' Hi, I’m Marta, and I’m a sophmore at Szczecin International School. As a teenager, I’ve seen how silently so many young people struggle with pressure, self-doubt, and mental health challenges while trying to figure out who they are. In my talk, I want to explore how our hardest moments don’t weaken our identity — they shape it. I’ll also briefly touch on how social media influences the way we see ourselves, often pushing us to compare and create “perfect” versions of who we think we should be. My goal is simple: to remind people that struggling doesn’t mean you’re broken — it means you’re becoming.

"Home Is Everywhere — and Nowhere" Hi, I’m Nathaniel! Truthfully doing a ted talk is a bit out of my comfort zone but I've never been one to shy away from a challenge. Being a third culture kid I sometimes find myself in unfamiliar situations and I hope to share some of what this feels like in my talk. In my free time I like sports, strength building, catching up with friends and eating ice cream, which I'm doing right now!!!

''How occupational identity shapes who we are and chose to become.'' Hey! I'm Tomek! For some time now I had been researching occupational identity, which is the study of how a person's job or what they do all day shape them. I can't wait to share what I learned with you and do that, while hopefully helping you better yourself! When I want to relax I run, hike. I enjoy reading, It's a great way to stumble onto something new to contemplate. I really hope we can see each other at TEDx!
