Mr. Abdulrahim A. Al Nooryani
Mr. Abdulrahim A. Al Nooryani, is the Chairman Board of Directors of the Company. He is currently serving as Chairman & CEO, Etisalat International Pakistan LLC, which is a subsidiary of Emirates Telecommunication Company PGSC. He is the longest serving Board member and has been on the Company’s Board since 2006.
Mr. Al Nooryani has 40 years of experience in the telecom industry. Mr. Al Nooryani joined Etisalat as a graduate trainee, and subsequently rose to become the Chief Officer Procurement, Contracts and Administration. He held several directorships at Etisalat’s numerous subsidiaries.
Mrs. Anusha Rahman Khan
Mrs. Anusha Rahman Khan, is a non-executive Director on the Board of the Company. She is currently serving as member Senate of Pakistan and is also Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce.
She is an Advocate of High Court, associated with Cornelius, Lane & Mufti, Law Firm, Pakistan (Associated from 2018). She was nominated as Regional Advisor to Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization, UK, for East and South Asia region in 2018. She is also a former Minister and a professional with previous association with the ICT sector. She served as Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications in Pakistan for a continuous period of (05) years, and a Member Parliament for a continuous period of (10) years (2008- 2018).
In 2004, she secured Master of Laws from University College London, United Kingdom, specializing in Law and Economics of regulated industries, networks and markets. She also holds LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan.
Ms. Brooke Marie Lindsay
Ms. Brooke Lindsay is the Group Chief Legal & Compliance Officer of e&. She joined e& in December 2010. She’s held a number of internal roles, including General Counsel for International in 2020. Lindsay has also served on a number of boards on behalf of e&, both in the UAE and internationally.
She has a successful track record in managing and mitigating risks, providing pragmatic legal solutions and driving compliance at the Group level while also serving as the chief advisor to the company’s executive management team and Board of Directors. Lindsay is a market leader in navigating strategic legal matters.
Prior to joining e&, Lindsay worked for leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and leading independent Australian law firm, McCullough Robertson. She is currently a Board Member of iMENA Group, an investment firm focused on operating innovative start-ups in the
Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Khazna, the largest
commercial wholesale data centre provider and infrastructure operator in the UAE.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Bond University, Australia.
Mr. Khalid Hegazy
Mr. Khaled Hegazy is the Chief Strategy and Regulatory Officer of e& International, responsible for Regulatory, Strategy and Portfolio Management for the 15 Opco’s outside the UAE. Prior to that, he was Etisalat Egypt’s Chief Business leading transformation of the Enterprise segment that resulted in significant revenue and market share growth to become the second largest player in Egypt’s Enterprise market for the first time.
Mr. Hegazy initially joined Etisalat Egypt in November 2016 as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, where he led the development of several key teams, including Regulatory, Strategy, Legal, International Wholesale, Government Affairs, and Corporate Communications. Before that he was the External Affairs and Legal Director for Etisalat Egypt from 2009. He was the Head of External Relations for Procter & Gamble (P&G) for the Near East Region until 2009.
Mr. Hegazy has a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
He is a board member in several companies and business organizations in Egypt and in the Middle East. The most recent is his appointment as a Director on the Supervisory Board of Maroc Telecom, a company listed on Euronext and Casablanca stock market.
Mr. Nazih El Hassanieh
Mr. Nazih El Hassanieh is the Head of Investor Relations of e& Group (formerly Etisalat Group). He has over 28 years of international telecom experience in the areas of Investor Relations, Credit Ratings, Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Corporate Finance, Operations, Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting and Audit.
He is a Board member and Chair the Audit Committee of eMarine PJSC and served on the Board and Audit Committee of each of Zanzibar Telecom (Zantel), Etisalat Services Holding and Evision.
Mr. Nazih holds a Master of Science in Management with concentration in Finance from Babson College, USA; Master of Money and Banking and Bachelor of Business Administration from American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Additionally, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Investment & Derivative Auditor (CIDA); Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) and has successfully completed the Certified Public Account (CPA) exam.
Mr. Marwan Bin Shakar
Mr. Marwan Bin Shakar is a seasoned telecommunications executive with over 23 years of experience driving innovation and growth in the industry. As Acting Chief Technology and Information Officer at e& UAE, he leads the company’s technology and information strategy, accelerating its digital transformation and solidifying its position as a leading telecommunications provider.
Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President of Access Network Development at e& UAE from 2022 to 2024. During this period, he spearheaded the deployment and monetization of cutting-edge technologies, including 5G and fiber-to-the-home, solidifying e& UAE’s position as a leader in network performance. Notably, under his leadership, e& UAE was recognized as the fastest 5G network globally by Ookla for two consecutive years.
From 2008 to 2022, Mr. Marwan held various roles at du, significantly contributing to the company’s technological advancements. He led the modernization of du’s mobile and fixed networks, enhancing their performance and reliability, and successfully launched the company’s 4G and 5G networks.
Between 2005 and 2008, he held various roles at Mobily, gaining valuable experience in mobile network development and management, including contributing to its mobile network launch in Saudi Arabia.
He began his career at Etisalat (now e&) from 2001 to 2005, where he gained foundational experience in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Marwan holds a BSc in Communication Engineering from Etisalat University College.
Mr. Hammad Shamimi
Mr. Hammad Shamimi is a non-executive Director on the Board of the Company. He is currently serving as Secretary, Privatization Division.
Mr. Shamimi is a member of Pakistan’s Civil Services. He has more than 31 years of work experience in administration and project management in a variety of core disciplines in the public sector. Exposure in policy planning and implementation, governance structures and reforms and service delivery mechanisms are some of his areas of strength.
Before joining the Privatization Division, he worked as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Division and Climate Change Division. He has also served as Consultant, Asian Development Bank and Project Director World Bank and UNDP.
He did his Masters in English Literature from Government College, Lahore in 1990. Later on, he also completed his degree in Development Studies from Japan (2005) and MBA in HRM.
Mr. Rafique Ahmed Buriro
Mr. Rafique Ahmed Buriro is a non-executive Director on the Board of the Company. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Government of Pakistan. He is a seasoned officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service. His Journey through the civil service began in 2001, and over the years, he has held several key leadership roles at both the Federal and Provincial levels.
His extensive experience includes serving as Secretary to the Government of Sindh across critical ministries/departments such as Agriculture, Irrigation, Information College Education, Mines & Mineral Development, and Food. He has also led as Commissioner of both Sukkur and Larkana Divisions, and held important positions in the Finance. Home, and Chief Minister’s Secretariats.
Beyond his administrative leadership, Mr. Buriro has contributed significantly to development initiatives, having served as Project Director for major projects supported by the World Bank and USAID, including the Karachi Neighbourhood improvement Project and the Sindh Basic Education Program. Academically accomplished with master’s degrees in public policy, Economic, and English. Mr. Buriro brings a unique blend of policy insight, strategic thinking and operational experience.
