MARCH 18, 2026 — SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER & GOLD COIN DRAW — A photo from the special guest speaking event on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 hosted by the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering (CivMin) at the University of Toronto. The main guest speaker was Mariana Pinheiro Harvey (MinE 1T2), General Manager at the Macassa Gold Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ont. operated by Agnico Eagle, along with The Northern Miner’s Ali Avaghi. A draw for a 1 oz gold coin for Lassonde Mineral Engineering students was held, with the lucky winner, Huang Jiahe (Year 4 MinE) receiving the top prize.
