Creating a streaming event on YouTube is stressful. Pick your date and time, then make sure it didn't go back to "Today - Now" silently after you change some unrelated setting.
Also, yes, you have to click on a date twice for it to actually change.


This screenshots is from Reddit, but this is a common set of options when sorting search results: by relevance, by rating, by date and something else.
This always leaves me puzzled… Why would I not want relevance? If I search for something, I only want the most relevant results. And if I then sort by rating or date, I don't want to get irrelevant top or irrelevant newest things.

This is Google Console used all over the world. More specifically, Monitoring. More specifically, Alerts and Incidents. You know, a place where it's vitally important to know the exact date and time when something happened.
I guess that's exactly why they use US date formatting in the filters and social-network-style "X days ago" for dates and times. Because that's *exactly* what you want in a tool like this.
