Played Pillers for the 2nd time with my group. Love the Skill or Force mechanic that you have to choose in every conflict. Having a chance to succeed the conflict on a roll or safely build your number up is always a fun decission to make. Having multiple players being in and out of "combat" in order for them to resolve an Echo by themselves makes the game very dynamic and tense. I do wish that the prossess of making a "Memory" has more structure to it because at the moment it feel more open and vague. Lastly the Strain Mechanic (HP) feels like out of place and unnecessary. The consiquence of failure shouldfeel more impactful. Overall I really enjoyed playing Pillars. A unique experience on controling a single character among the rest of the players and confronting the character's own personal demons and facing their inadequacies.
This game is such an interesting unique experience. Instead of playing separate characters, everyone collaboratively builds the memories of a single character as they travel through the wastes and faces challenges. It feels like piecing a puzzle of this character's life, slowly revealing who they are.
