Fanworks are welcome. If the project uses game assets, credit the appropriate person as listed in the 'Credits' section on this page.

You said in another comment your friend wants to animate something. I can't see why they would need permission to make a fan animation. People generally don't get permission to make fanart.

Thanks for playing!

Did you try following what's written in the 'Instructions for Android' tab on this page?

I get at least one spam comment that says "Update: New Version - Click Here" every day on here. I report them once I see them. Please disregard them. Thanks.

Did you try F4 on Windows, possibly function key and F4 at the same time (Fn+F4)?

Going to delete this comment just due to the untagged spoiler endings, but thanks for playing.

Sorry, I don't think the musician I commissioned for the OST used sheet music for its preparation, and I haven't seen anyone else transcribe it. Glad you enjoyed the songs. I do too. Desesseintes did a fantastic job.

Glad you enjoyed it. I post a variety of fanart on ClinicalTrialRP and ClinicalTrialFA on Twitter if you'd like to see a bit more of the characters.

Thank you for the kind, thoughtful review. I am happy you enjoyed the game.

Just making sure, are you aware I post art in the media tabs of @ClinicalTrialRP and @ClinicalTrialFA on Twitter? You don't have to wish for more Clinical Trial content, I am actively making and posting it, although it's unofficial / noncanon art.

Fanart is always welcome. Love to see it. You can find some great stuff in the #ClinicalTrialgame hashtag on Twitter.

I will follow up with you privately.

Those are just the RPGMaker MZ default controls.

Probably not, download it here while you can!

I believe you can add non-Steam games to your Steam library, though. If you want.

No Android port, but you can try to follow the steps listed in the "Instructions for Android" tab to run the game.

Can't accept monetary payment at this time but positive comments and reviews are very much appreciated. Thank you!

No, sorry. I’ll copy-paste a couple comments from people who ran the game on Linux a few months ago, in case it helps you.

From kodr1iaqmgvswek:

For those of us on Linux, the Windows version of this game runs quite well with rpgmaker-linux. Just unzip it and run it with e.g.

rpgmaker-linux --gamepath /home/you/Clinical\ Trial/

Tested on Debian 12 with GNOME. The same Debian 12 running Sway WM did not work.”

From Scutoidlim

“By the way, just so you know, the game runs just fine under WINE on Linux. If there had been any problems I bet you Proton would have dealt with them, but there were no issues with plain old regular old WINE. So that was neat.

I installed it from the WineHQ repo. I'm on Wine 10.0, running under Fedora Linux. “

The menu is finicky for some people. It might help to navigate it slowly and not press any keys other than the up/down arrows and escape/return when the menu is open. Sometimes inputs from other keys seem to cause a problem. Sorry about that.

I'm very grateful to the fan translators who have made it possible for the game to reach more players like you. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Of course you can. Glad you enjoyed the game.

You can move on the map and select choices by clicking on them instead of using the arrow keys. There's one (nonconsequential) choice near the end where you might be stuck with fewer options, but I think you can still complete the game.

You can only open the menu using the escape key when Angel is able to walk around. When you're in the middle of cutscenes or dialogue, it is true that pressing the escape key only speeds up the dialogue.

Glad you enjoyed the game. I believe some of the fan translation teams who have made patches for the game used a tool called "Translator++" but that's about all I know. The unofficial translators have handled everything else themselves.

While comments are greatly appreciated, please remember to put a spoiler warning in yours if applicable.

If you haven't played the game yet, please be advised there are spoilers in this comments section.

Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed the game. I am going to delete your comment for its untagged spoiler because some people tend to look at the comments section before deciding whether to download or not, but thank you anyway!

Thank you. You can save whenever you can walk around, just press the Escape key.

Hi Joe,

I used RPGMaker MZ because that is the only version available for Mac. If you’re on Windows, the version of RPGMaker that has more free plugins is MV, but MZ is the version that is currently being updated and has more built-in features.

I believe that there are a few features that are specific to MZ that I used to make Clinical Trial that are not native to MV. That being said, Clinical Trial was my first game and first time ever using gamemaking software in general, so my experience is very limited.

Best of luck on your game!

F4 fullscreened it for my Windows playtester in the past. Does that work for you?

I sent an e-mail to the address listed on your Twitter.

Thank you for playing! If you would edit your comment to put a spoiler warning at the beginning, I would appreciate it.

Whoops. The HTML for these drop-down menus is kind of finicky. I must have messed it up the last time I updated the fan translations section a few days ago. Fixed, thanks for pointing that out.

Hi there, please open your Twitter DMs so I can discuss with you.

I am deleting your comment for its untagged spoiler. Thank you for playing.

Happy you were able to go in blind. I really think for this genre of story that that is the optimal way to experience it. Thank you for the kind review!

Hello,

An unofficial Spanish fan translation was just completed yesterday. There may still be some errors, but you can check it out here.

Not sure why that is happening, but basically RPGMaker is looking for a certain audio file in the 'bgm' folder and not finding it for some reason.

Re-download a second copy of the Windows version of the game from this website. Go into that second copy's 'audio' —> 'bgm' folder. Find the file called 'RooftopsongL.ogg_.' Drag it into the 'bgm' folder of the game you are currently playing.

I am deleting your comment for the untagged ending spoilers. Feel free to leave the same comment again with a spoiler warning at the beginning.

None of the sprites from the bonus ending cutscenes are in there, just the backgrounds.

I hope so too!

There's no official Discord server. If there are any active fan-run servers, I am not aware of them.
