Signalis - Shortwave transmission - GBC
The masterpiece from 'Rose-engine' reinterpreted for the Nintendo Gameboy Colour, Based on the original Demo released which showed a vertical slice of the game, this demake consists of a faithful translation of that experience, with a few hidden extras.
Signalis of course is a classic survival horror experience set in a dystopian future where humanity has uncovered a dark secret. Unravel a cosmic mystery, escape terrifying creatures, and scavenge an off-world government facility as Elster, a technician Replika searching for her lost dreams.

Information -
Playable on original hardware - The old build was the original DMG model of the gameboy, meaning it had the widest compatibility and performance across all model of Gameboy. The NEW GBC version requires a GBC or above to play.
IMORTANT NOTE:
This project uses the lesser used .WAV functions of the GAMEBOY, The web player introduce a very harsh 'BUZZING' sound not present when played on real hardware. Some emulators play better then others, the web player has terrible playback.
YOU CAN DISABLE WAV FROM THE SETTINGS MENU - BUT THE GAME IS BEST PLAYED WITH WAV SOUNDS

Hi, I heard Signalis is a very special game on consoles. And I'm tempted to get it for Switch. How does this GBC version compare? Should I play the full console release before this one to avoid spoilers? Or is this the full experience as well? OR are they two games in that world that have there own merits and it wouldn't matter/spoil anything whichever I play first? Thanks for any reply and clarification.
Please please please buy the real game, this is a fun side project and no way a replacement... its on gameboy!!!!!
Ok understood, but I'm sure your project is incredible too! You clearly know how to push the GB to it's absolute limits with graphics and audio. I'll come back to it after the main game.
Also it might be good to explain more about the differences and how this side project fits in. The description dare I say say is somewhat vague, hence my questions. Thank you for the project and the best wishes for your own future projects.
HOW
EFFORT
😍
It's cool it's very difficult without seeing the healthbar. I'm trying to get pas with the enemies and trying to shoot (i don't know how to use a gun), but i don't know if there's a chance cause i died.
But the graphics are cool, it's just that I like the game for story and graphics. Other than that, Have a great day!
Amazing !! Thank u !
Hi
What influenced your decision to develop it for GB DMG specs and not GBC?
I really enjoy the restrictions of the lowest possible specs, and I'm just personally more attached to the DMG.
