Dark Hunterz is a Sri Lankan project that began in 2019 in Colombo. Founded by Praneeth Sasanka Padukka and Kavindu Perera, the duo set out to create a new kind of underground house music, launching their project with a fresh and unique vision. Praneeth, a ghost producer with years of experience making underground productions for big artists, connected with Kavindu’s passion. Together, they shaped Dark Hunterz — with Praneeth as the composer and Kavindu as the DJ.
After Kavindu left the project in 2021, Dark Hunterz went silent. In 2023, Praneeth revived the project, shifting toward the melodic techno sound. Today, he continues to run Dark Hunterz, exploring underground sub-genres such as progressive house, house, and melodic techno.
