In Chiaroscuro, London-based artist Michael Caria (Michael It’z) explores the delicate balance between light and shadow where revelation and obscurity coexist, shaping the emotional depth of perception. The album drifts between stillness and movement, presence and dissolution, revealing a sound world suspended between clarity and decay.

The opening track, “Suspended Air,” hovers in weightless tension, setting the tone for a journey through illumination and collapse. “The Shape of Collapse” follows, unraveling structure into texture, while “Woven Light” threads harmonic strands through the darkness.

“Invisible Loom” and “An Immortal Fracture” meditate on impermanence sound as memory, tone as fracture. “Ashen Breath” exhales the residue of what remains, leading into “Vanishing” and “Echoes of Dust,” where form erodes into shimmering particles.

As the record nears its end, “Distant Glow” offers faint warmth on the horizon, “Azure” stretches upward into quiet transcendence, and “Eterno Fragile” closes the journey in fragile equilibrium a final breath between darkness and light.

Through shifting layers of ambient electronica, IDM, and post-industrial nuance, Caria composes with contrast as his language silence as structure, texture as tone. Chiaroscuro is an auditory study in duality: how fragility becomes form, and how light, even at its faintest, reveals everything.
