Devils Line

Vampires walk among society, existing as part of its underbelly. They do not require blood to survive, but extreme emotions can immensely increase their bloodlust, turning them into uncontrollable monsters. Tsukasa Taira, a 22-year-old university student, learns of the existence of vampires when her longtime friend reveals himself to be one of them after a tense confrontation with Yuuki Anzai—a human and vampire hybrid.

Her friend is arrested, and Tsukasa soon finds herself drawn to Anzai, who reluctantly reciprocates her feelings. However, this unconventional romance may prove too difficult to maintain, as Anzai struggles to contain the part of him that wishes to devour Tsukasa.

This is one of those anime that grabbed my attention immediately, and I genuinely enjoyed every second of it ❤. It has that perfect mix of supernatural tension and emotional intimacy that keeps you coming back episode after episode. I always looked forward to watching it, especially to see how far Anzai and Tsukasa would go, their relationship is soft, complicated, and surprisingly moving 😃. I definitely recommend this anime to anyone who loves supernatural beings and of course to anyone who loves romance <33. The chemistry, the emotional struggle, the danger mixed with tenderness… it’s exactly the kind of dynamic that keeps you ... hooked. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending. The last episode felt rushed and sloppy compared to the rest. I didn’t get into it at all, and it didn’t have that breathtaking impact the earlier episodes delivered. It’s like the pacing suddenly collapsed right at the finish line. And then there’s the whole “second season” situation :d I’d love to watch it, but I have no idea what to expect. It could be a chill breather, something to fill the gap… or it could be an absolute bomb that blows the first season out of the water. We’ll just have to wait and see what they prepare for us. Either way, Devils’ Line left a strong impression — and that says a lot.

Mixed Feelings

While I can understand how this would not be a memorable anime for just anyone, I was thoroughly surprised with its overall quality. I don't normally watch mysterious, crime-driven narrative but was intrigued when a coworker offhandedly mentioned this gem. It is thrilling but not oversaturated with twists and turns, the romance is subtle but engaging, and the characters are easy to find comfort in. This shows takes its supernatural elements and applies it in a casual way that I hadn't seen before. I would rank it highly amongst the shows that I have binged in one night. Although I ... do not intend to include any spoilers, I will say that episode 8 caught me off guard. I was not ready for the spice! This is an easy anime to fall in love with despite its short run time. I highly encourage newcomers to vampiric storytelling (who are capable of withstanding marginally risqué content) to start here. For its category, I give it a solid 9.

So I finished this, apparently multiple people really love this. Both episode 1, and episode 2, made me want to drop with a 4/10. I thought about a 6/10 but I was so confused (writing bad, not because complex) and had so many issues. This anime does have 8/10 potential, but fails to me.
So I might be a little off on this but Episodes:
1-2 Sexual Assault and Rape, easy 4/10 and drop worthy, also triggered sexual trauma.
3-7 kind of felt 6/10 but repetitively had problems (my favorite character introduced at some point)
8 favorite episode, not path I was expecting/hoping for, but very hot
9-12 just keeps ... stacking my problems I've had the entire time and not making any sense
I hate to say it, but I think the female MC is my spirit animal

Art 8/10
it was mostly nice and fitting for the show

Animation 8/10
was mostly fluid and fitting for the show

Characters 7/10
Diverse and some are slightly interesting

Romance debatable 3/10 to 9/10
it was very off-putting for me, but I also understand it and honestly... I really liked episode 8

Plot 5/10
Nothing special, we got devils, people that that hate devils, people that work with devils, irrational hate et cetera. Things that didn't make sense and had issues with just got worse and doesn't make any sense.

Ending 6/10

I recommend this to anyone that loves forbidden love, vampires/devils, romance, police operations
I DO NOT recommend this to anyone who cannot/doesn't want sexual assault, rape, questionable founded relationships, a story with many blatant flaws, irrational bigotry

I hope this helped I tried my best not to spoil anything. I feel a little bad as I've arguably graded worse higher, but I can't bring myself to give above a 4/10 (bad)
