Welcome to ‘Sherz Blogs’ by Shreya Markendey.
I came up with the name ‘Sherz blogs’ as I started my WordPress journey back in 2017 as an aspiring creative writer/blogger. Whilst I believe my work has surpassed blogging, as I now explore poetry, prose, creative non-fiction and more on my Instagram/Facebook, I have decided to keep the name of this website the same. Why you may ask… well it feels nostalgic and best reflects my first ever creative spark.
This website acts as an online portfolio of my writing and its development over the years. I have categorised the varied types of writing I explore in the main header.
My new found love for Poetry/Prose has stemmed from my BA English Literature degree at University. I also enjoy exploring the genre of Creative Non-Fiction as I unravel anecdotes and creatively bring them to life.
Writing for me is not only cathartic but also a way to help others understand or want to delve deeper into their emotions, plights and creativity. I write to serve and I hope, as you explore my writing, you too can see that.
