Carolyn loves to walk every day with her furry explorers, Sky & Wags, the labradoodles. She marvels at how their walks are a ritual of pure dog delight and seeks to bring that same magic to her own routine. Inspired by her playful pups, Carolyn writes about their adventures to spark curiosity on every path, big or small. Her husband, Wick, joins them on walks whenever he can and doodles the ‘doodles to unwind. When she’s not writing, Carolyn works in marketing, with Sky & Wags by her side. Carolyn & Wick live near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with their daughters, and Sky & Wags. Their house is filled with laughter & barking, muddy paw prints, and endless reasons to smile.

Wick has worked for the last 20 years developing brand and advertising strategies that set companies apart and founded his own firm, Wickwire & Co in 2025. He has always been artistically inclined and as a busy working husband, girl dad, and dog dad, he uses art and digital illustration as a fun, creative outlet. This book inspired him to formalize this developing skill and put his creativity to good use personally and professionally.

    Sky is the baby of our household, and she demands to be treated as such. She loves cheese sticks, long walks, any treat or toy Wags has, and telling everyone what she wants next. Sky’s days are always filled with fun, and her favorite human, Carolyn, is lucky enough to share her daily adventures. Whether they’re exploring the neighborhood or snuggling up together, Sky has a way of warming hearts even when she’s stealing socks or being contrary.

    And when she’s not busy living her best life, you might just spot her on the cover of a magazine! Sky’s first star moment came when she graced the pages of “Modern Farmhouse,” proving that dogs can make mud rooms look stylish AND muddy.

    Wags’ tail is always wagging, and that is why his name is Wags! He truly wakes up every day to the best day ever. His favorite pastime is chasing chipmunks, a game that never gets old even though he never wins! When the day’s excitement is over, there is nothing quite like snuggling up with his favorite human, Wick, for a good old-fashioned hug.

    As a former therapy dog, Wags has a special knack for bringing comfort and cheer to those around him. There is no such thing as a hug that’s too long for Wags. He is always up for a belly rub, a game of fetch, or intently listening to a story. If you are lucky, you may even catch him lovingly chewing his favorite plush toy, piggy.
