Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services in new and interesting ways. It provides a browser-based editor that makes it easy to wire together flows using the wide range of nodes in the palette that can be deployed to its runtime in a single-click. JavaScript functions can be created within the editor using a rich text editor. A built-in library allows you to save useful functions, templates or flows for re-use. The light-weight runtime is built on Node.js, taking full advantage of its event-driven, non-blocking model. This makes it ideal to run at the edge of the network on low-cost hardware such as the Raspberry Pi as well as in the cloud.

MicroPython is a lean and efficient implementation of the Python 3 programming language that includes a small subset of the Python standard library and is optimised to run on microcontrollers and in constrained environments. The MicroPython pyboard is a compact electronic circuit board that runs MicroPython on the bare metal, giving you a low-level Python operating system that can be used to control all kinds of electronic projects. MicroPython is packed full of advanced features such as an interactive prompt, arbitrary precision integers, closures, list comprehension, generators, exception handling and more. Yet it is compact enough to fit and run within just 256k of code space and 16k of RAM. MicroPython aims to be as compatible with normal Python as possible to allow you to transfer code with ease from the desktop to a microcontroller or embedded system.

This project reimplements from scratch the RPL language made popular by HP programmable calculators, in portable C/C++. The main goal is to release a complete computing environment for various targets. There's currently 4 active targets: the HP 50g, HP39gs and HP40gs calculators and a PC simulator (see the downloads section!). Other ports are planned for the future.

OnixOS Arch is a Linux-based and open source distribution. It comes with its own system-based functional programming language (O Language). It offers some customized tools for developers.

Ino-L is a TUI programming language for Windows that compiles into MS-DOS batch files. Ino-L stands for Innova Language, because Innova is French for innovation. The purpose of the language is to allow programmers the same functionality and abilities of batch files, but with simpler syntax and limited GUI, along with other things MS-DOS does not natively support. Your MS-DOS code can also be incorporated into the Ino-L source code, along with JavaScript and VisualBasic.

Ficl is a lightweight, embeddable scripting language designed to be incorporated into other programs, and especially embedded systems that may have memory and OS constraints. Applications include scripting, hardware bring-up, rapid prototyping, and system extensions. Unlike Lua or Python, Ficl acts as a component of your system - you feed it stuff to do, it does the stuff, and comes back to you for more. You can export compiled code to Ficl, execute Ficl code from your compiled code, or interact. Your choice.

Binary Modular DataFlow Machine (BMDFM) is a software package that enables running an application in parallel on shared memory symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) computers using the multiple processors to speed up the execution of single applications. BMDFM automatically identifies and exploits parallelism due to the static and mainly dynamic scheduling of the dataflow instruction sequences derived from the formerly sequential program. The BMDFM dynamic scheduling subsystem performs a symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) emulation of a tagged-token dataflow machine to provide the transparent dataflow semantics for the applications. PARUS is a data-flow parallel programming language that allows to build parallel programs for clusters and MPP multiprocessors. The data-flow graph is automatically converted to the C++/MPI source and linked with the libparus runtime library. Also there are available tools for benchmarking cluster interconnect and visualize it.

pFFh is a programming language that allows you to launch applications on embedded systems safely, quickly and comfortably. pFFh runs on the target system, combining operation as a command interpreter and code compiler. We can say that pFFh behaves like an operating system on the board under development. All pFFh needs is a serial or USB-serial channel to communicate, and through it, receive and process console commands, either from a keyboard or from files sent from a desktop computer. At present, pFFh is implemented for the PIC18FxxQ4x/Q7x family of microcontrollers. The code has been run and tested on the PIC18F16Q40, PIC18F16Q41, PIC18F57Q43 and PC18F56Q71 "Curiosity Nano” boards.
