Beyond Two Souls has its moments when I was sitting on the edge of the seat and fully engaged, but overall the story is just OK, storytelling average at most, controls and camera angles are horrible and most importantly, the special feature of having Aidan, feels just A gimmick, because you can't use him outside pre-written moments and ways.

I really liked this game. The story is very deep and emotional, and it keeps you interested the whole time. The connection between Jodie and Aiden is unique and makes the gameplay different from other games. The graphics and acting are very realistic, it feels like watching a movie.

Beyond Two Souls refers to the girl Jodie and her spiritual protector Aiden. As a player, you alternate between the two and try to guide them to the best of your ability through a network of chapters that are shuffled in time without much significance. The chaotic narrative was clearly intended to build drama, but it does the exact opposite.

Jodie is, in fact, an ordinary girl, or rather an extraordinary girl who would very much like to become ordinary. But fate does not give her a choice. Since childhood, she has been the subject of interest of the CIA's paranormal department, personified by Nathan Dawkins - a kind scientist with a sincere interest in both Aiden and the welfare of the gloomy girl. You participate in her life as a player at various stages, whether it's melancholic moments in her adoptive parents' house, "tests" undergone as part of research, or training with special units and then deployment in specific missions.
The range from psychological miniatures to sweeping, globetrotting adventures doesn't work for the reasons we've already described above. When something gets you excited, it's more like quiet conversations than scenes ripped from a subpar spy thriller. Whenever the game calms down and focuses on seemingly banal situations in the lives of its protagonists, it can suddenly be sensitive, engaging, and most importantly, entertaining.

You could probably glue together a decent hour-long episode of a paranormal series from its excellent moments, but as a coherent narrative, Beyond is an incredibly overpriced piece of crap, the stupidity of which is barely balanced by the high production values ​​at times. 25%
