Treats

I use this app to save for little treats for myself ie weekends away or the new coat ive had my eye on. Sometimes I j6st move monies to the app yo save that little extra. I find out of site out of mind works for me and if ive put the money in plum then ive done it for a reason and dont like to use it until its being used for what it was intended for.

I would never recommend Plum

An awful experience with Plum; we have been unable to link a current bank account and no-one can identify why. This has resulted in a transfer being made, rather than a deposit- hence different saving rates and we are unable to speak to someone to resolve this position.

Plum has turned out to be incredibly stressful, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Stay away or lose money and get no…

Stay away or lose money and get no response ever!
I logged in to Plum first time in months.. only to see that my pocket - of £200 - invested in a few funds grew to £1125 by Nov 2025, but from Nov 5th to Nov 24th mysteriously it dropped to £240 - someone I guess stole my £950 profit as I did not touch the account until Feb 2026. I immediately contacted Plum on 28th Feb.. only to keep getting messages they 'are escalating' it until now i.e. 19th March!! two weeks later and they cannot find my money! absolute shambles - STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. WILL COMPLAIN TO OMBUDSMAN AND HOPE THEY GET FINED. SHAMBLES AND UNBELIEVABLE UNPROFESSIONALISM. STAY AWAY!

Just awful.

Do not use this isa if you have a transfer in ISA, especially if your parents gifted you the money. Nightmare. Even though the gift was made year ago to another provider, still have to provide the statements showing the monies was transferred in from parents and the statement showing the monies was transferred to the previous provider, parents income for 3 months, proof of relationship and previous provider statement, who on earth keeps isa statement as there is no tax need to pay. this company is a nightmare to deal with.

I have never delt with a customer…

I have never delt with a customer service so bad. They never sort out a problem. Seriously bad enough for me to close my account. If you want to withdraw money it takes days. They withdraw the money from your account and hold it. You can't see it or withdraw it. They hold it. They say one working day, this never happens.
Seriously think about not using this bank as customer service will not help

Withplum not user friendly

I’ve tried opening a cash ISA, nothing but problems.
I wanted to transfer money myself into account.
Why do they want a direct Debit set up?
No account number- No sort code?
AI responds to everything.
Can’t speak to anyone?
I don’t think it trustworthy.
I’ve tried to cancel Cash ISA account through the app, but it won’t let me?
Under the fourteen day cooling off period I should be able to cancel account .

I started with Plum in about 2017/2018…

I started with Plum in about 2017/2018 with its round ups into a stocks and shares ISA. For as long as I was regularly depositing and doing not much else but tweaking the odd investment, it was perfect and I saw my money climb.

In 2025 I decided I wanted to derisk my account and move my invested money into cash ahead of a big purchase in the next 12 months. A different provider had a better cash ISA rate so I applied for a full transfer... this is where the problems started. The transfer bounced back and forward, then, when it went through, my Plum app has barely worked, showing me incorrect totals, not giving me the option to split my auto saving between different pockets and so on. The customer service I experienced off the back of this was slow, inaccurate and repeatedly unhelpful. My current issue with them, not being able to split funds between different products, has been 5 weeks without any resolution or update on progress. Each time I am forced to reach out, chase, and just get a sorry we'll escalate. It's horrendous and I expected better from this app which started off really positively. Once my account is fixed I'll be taking my money out and going elsewhere to continue my investing journey.
