I’m a creator.  My approach to creation always starts with the question, "What if ...
?" 
 
What if ... the road taken went another way? 
What if ... I could see this scene through that character's eyes? 
What if ... someone made a Pop of my favorite character from that moment in the
movie? 
What if ... I could assemble a community to help inspire my art? 
What if ... I could look to my patrons to help me frame the questions that
drive my writing? 
What if ... together we can brainstorm fun new things I can make - new custom
Pop characters, new products I can offer in my Etsy store, new crafts I can
learn and share? 
And what if, every month, a portion of my Patreon earnings could go to a
charity, like The Trevor Project? 
 
What if we do that together? 
 
Goals 
I created my Patreon because I wanted to have a community around me 
where I could discuss ideas, throw out things for discussion, and get 
honest feedback. I've also found that I really like having a structure 
where I've got an obligation to deliver, and that helps motivate me 
artistically. So, motivation, structure, and inspiration - those are my
 personal goals. As my Patreon grows, I'll add more charities to the donation list. At a
minimum, I will always donate at least $10 every month to The Trevor Project.  In addition, you, my patrons, will help me add new goals and rewards as we grow as a community. 
 
But why Patreon? 
I love to write, do art, create new things. I share my work on Tumblr,
Instagram, Twitter. I post my fiction on AO3. Social media isn't always
the best place to get feedback, let alone honest critique. 
 
I wanted to create a Patreon community where I could share my work and get
feedback, questions, ideas, and yes, even criticism. And having the structure
of patrons helps me organize my time, and forces me to deliver creatively every
month. 
 
I started my Patreon in August 2017, and I am so grateful I did. It's been
remarkably rewarding, helping me grow as an artist and writer, but more
importantly its introduced me to my amazing patrons.

Where the money goes 
Every month, I donate at least $10 to The Trevor Project. As pledges increase, the
donation will, too, up to 10% of the total. As various goals are met, I'll add
more charities that will receive donations from patron pledges.  
 
The rest of the pledge money currently goes to support other artists here on
Patreon. It would be amazing if my patron pledges could eventually cover my
entire Patreon pledge! But every little bit helps to keep artists creating! 
 
About me 
I don't remember a time in my life when I wasn't creating art and story -
answering those what if questions. Whether it was creating my own storybooks in
crayon, or writing fan fiction for the first time, or creating new characters
in vinyl and clay, I need to create. It brings me joy unlike any other part of
my life. And I am so thrilled to share it with you! - Deb
