I'm Alan. Someone recently said I'm &quot;a cross between Stan Lee &amp; Shaft&quot;. (So, excelsior, motherf**kers!)   :) <div style=""><div style="height: 0;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="480" scrolling="no" width="854"></iframe></div></div> I write comics &amp; graphics novels. Sometimes I draw them. I also gave a comics-related <a href="https://www.ted.com/talks/r_alan_brooks_when_the_world_is_burning_is_art_a_waste_of_time_oct_2021#t-591687" target="_blank">TED Talk</a>, which is pretty popular. <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_KErn-uHGyM" width="640"></iframe> My comics usually have some commentary on life, justice, compassion, etc. Because of that, I've received <a href="https://www.westword.com/arts/r-alan-brooks-takes-on-white-supremacy-in-his-new-graphic-novel-anguish-garden-11608507" target="_blank">death threats</a> for my work, mostly from white supremacists. But I ain't letting that stop me. The publishing industry moves very slow, so I'm gonna make new graphic novels on my own (some for kids, some for adults). I'd love your support to create these.
