Hello Product Hunt! We’ve been building Fitmap with a lot of heart over the last 6 months and we want to introduce it to you all today 🙂 We’ve built Fitmap after failing miserably in searching for a clean and simple tool to plan my health and wellness. Like many others, I used to add my fitness goals to my calendar or my to-do app. Very soon, the - “Meditate for 10 minutes” routine would be sinking in between 10s of other work tasks (which were mostly stress-inducing). This wasn’t great ❌ All other fitness apps were good at tracking - showing data of what I did but weren’t adequate to help me plan what to do. We, along with my other makers wanted to challenge this notion. As a start, we wanted to create an extremely simple and clean app that can help someone who cares about health and well-being to plan their wellness goals without being stressed out - a coming feeling one gets when seeing piled-up uncompleted tasks. For this release 🐣: 1️⃣ We build an extremely simple, yet extremely flexible planner that responds to the way you think. Being zero-intrusive and non-fussy was our goal. 2️⃣ To keep users motivated(thanks to Snapchat!), we’ve built consistency #Streaks into the app. We’d love your feedback on this specifically 🙂. 3️⃣ We added level-ups to help keep users motivated to come back. Rather than using complex graphs, we used a plant’s growth as a metaphor for wellness growth🪴 4️⃣ We decided to reward users daily. We are bootstrapped completely 🙃, but this made sense to keep users coming back as most people don’t consider health and wellness as their primary objective in life. Eventually, we want to become a single home for all health-related stuff - activity, reminders, sleep, meditation, workouts, nutrition. But all that hinges heavily on what we built now. The app will be available for Android users currently. iOS is in beta testing. Tell us what you think about the design, the product value and anything you feel is important.

As of now, we are focussed on giving you a simple routine planner for your health with a focus on consistency via streaks and journey. @maria_loleyt Thanks Maria. One main difference would be un-intrusive simplicity. The app is designed to make wellness simple - as we believe it actually is. Everything that the app does is centred around the notion of intent+action. This means, the app should disappear between a user's intent and the user's action. This is a great time to start using the app as we are adding more value-add features to it like sleep, meditation and physical workouts. Thanks for the support.

Sometimes with these apps you spend more time setting them up and checking graphs and data than you do for your workouts. This one is simple and essential, meaning no learning curve and silly gymnicks , meaning better focus on your tasks. Supporting.

@fabiosalvadori This is exactly what we were aiming to achieve Fabio. Feels great to know that you could see it that way. We feel we reached a tipping point in our equation with data and graphs. One doesn't need to know that they slept for 7h 54m through an app to understand that they slept well. They can just feel it. Sometimes, with things related to health and wellness, less is always more. Thanks for supporting.
