Week One Teaching Experience Summary

The first week of the internship involved observing grade 5 classes. On the first day, the intern attended an assembly and was then assigned to a grade 5 class taught by Ms. Hajer. Week one:

The first day of our TP was in Sunday 4th October 2015. It was an important day to
know what I have to do through all the month. We attend the assembly in 7:50 a.m.
Then the coordinator divide us to each grade started from grade 1 to grade 5.I went to
grade 5 class. Firstly, I was nerves because grade 5 is high grade in learning so they
need higher effort to deliver the information which suits their abilities. However, I felt
enthusiastic to take this risk.
I attend the class and I meet my MST ms Hajer. She was a lovely teacher and she had
a lovely students as well. Firstly, we did help her in their work. She plans her activity in
Sunday to use "Task Based learning" because their work was depend on their hand and
they start to figure out what is the base and what is the past tense. This time I started to
find the differentiation and figure out their weakness and strength which help me in
planning my lesson.
On Monday, teacher had a variety activity in using listening, writing and reading skills.
In warming up activity, the teacher start with listening activity. She say to them the
based word, the students listen to the word and write it down. She moved after to
reading and speaking activity. Her students were repeating the phrases "What sue do in
....." but with different time. She used this strategy to make the students master in this
rule. They moved this repetition to using it in their writing to fill the schedule with
actions. Then the student came to the board and say her answer.
On Tuesday it was a revision for the exam.
On Wednesday the teacher gave them exam, I helped her to monitor the class and look
at the papers.
