DIY Fun Kid's Hat Knitting Pattern

This document provides instructions for making a fun kid's hat or adult sized hat. Materials needed include 1 or 2 skeins of yarn in various colors, US size 17 double pointed needles, and a pom pom maker. The hat is made in the round by casting on stitches and knitting rounds with periodic decreases to shape the hat. Sizes differ by circumference and number of knitting rounds before decreases begin. A pom pom is made and attached to complete the hat.

Cut the yarn and thread the tail through the remaining stitches.

Weave in the ends.

Use the largest pom pom template to make a pom pom. If youre using the Pencil
Roving and want your pom pom to look like this one, wrap it around the template only a
few times. A little goes a long way!

Bring the pom pom tail to the inside of the hat, tie a knot and weave in the ends. And
youre done!
