INTRODUCTION
Noli Me Tangere is the title of novel in english “touch me not or In Filipino it is
“huwag mo akong salingin”. Our national Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal wrote this novel in the year
1884. He was in madrid taking up medicine while writing this [Link] he finished his
course in medicine he go to paris and continued to write this novel. In Berlin he finished the
last part of this novel. This novel is a reminder of how bad things that happens to our national
hero Dr. Jose Rizal his bad experiences during the Spanish [Link] the very start of this
novel, he was plans to work with his countymen who is suffering from the Spaniard hands,
but he was failed to do it. Filipino people lose their hope to fullfill their dreams to have
freedom from the [Link] our national hero did not give up, and continue to write his
novel alone.
“ANG PAGING” is the first chapter of his novel. In this chapter. It was stated about
the lifestyle of Don Santiago De Los Santos which is known for Kapitan Tiago. According to
this chapter, Kapitan Tiago was the step father of Maria Clara, kapitan tiago was from
Binondo. Padre sibyla, Padre Damaso and Tenyente Guevara is also the other character from
this [Link] Tiago invited the said characters to go to his house and have a simple
gathering, but something went wrong to padre Damaso and Tenyente Guevara they had a
fight between the two. Padre Sibyla stopped the arguments of the two.
“ANG BINATANG SI CRISOSTOMO”is the second chapter of this novel in this
chapter kapitan Tiago presented Don Crisostomo Ibarra to the priest, the name of his
deceased friend named Don Rafael [Link] next chapters were also fantastic as it
antagonized the essence of the vovel . It is so amazing and worth to reflect the poetism of
every term and phrases of story that our national hero did.
As a filipino and being a Filipino, I’ve learned about the love of the family and love
for the [Link] love , example for this is the love of Crisostomo Ibarra to his
[Link] he found out that the burial of his father was [Link], if I was in his side of
Crisostomo Ibarra , I do everything to give the blessings of what my father deserve, a decent
burial for the last time. Another is the love of Sisa to her sons Crispin and basilio until the last
breath of her life she was always thinking about his sons. I believed that the love for the
family is indeed unconditional. Other issues is in our political framework are as dingy as a
man who never admitted in his life.I feel sorry for our political pioneers that the reason that
they are our pioneers is on the ground of any case, sadly , when all is said to be done.
These issues should be reacted as quickly as time permits us in the light of the fact
that off chance that this is not replied. We can’t offer a brilliant new morning to all future
filipinos and even to future individuals. The issues of the past up to the present must arrived
at an end. Every lesson that I learned from this novel or to everyone who reads and learned
from this novel, I will guarantee the Philippines will soon open that entryway , the shut
entryway in a path to a whole new nation , the PHILIPPINES.
REACTION
When I heard about Maria Clara and Ibara was airing in GMA 7 as a
teleserye, its Gen Z- meets 1800-Philippines premises capture my interest to
watch the telerserye. And finally, when it began airing in octorber 2022, I got
hooked with its quality production, gripping story, and adherence to properly
telling Filipino history. I always look forward on how the story will portray.
Because, to be honest I feel like not interested in history subject but since I saw
the trailer of this Teleserye, it feels like so exiting and gives me a chance to
watch this every time it is aired. Finally, the teleserye of a young student being
magically transported into the world of Dr. Jose Rizal’s Nole Me Tangere and
El Filibusterismo wasn’t just a showcase of the Philippine history.
Based on personal viewings and researches , this primetime television
show on GMA 7 is publicly appealing and worth watching every night. In
accordance , it is elaborated with details and plots from a renowned novel of
Dr. Jose P. Rizal known as Noli Me Tangere. Even though, the whole story of it
is very historic and classic but the way it is catches the interest and favor of
viewers is phenominal through the insertion of modern touch of story telling
with symphaty to what they have to fond about especially thrilling
suspense ,revelation and twist of content.
As part of the 21st century generation or let us say millennials , Maria
Clara at Ibarra on kapuso network is an exquisite masterpiece as well a a
showcase of excellence in which the overall reflection and synopsis of it is
remarkable even the young people can relate to it especially about love
affairs, moral ascendancy, language appreciation and family. It is something
reminiscing especially that it derived from a well- known piece of our national
hero and the context of its theme is symphathetically relevant to contemporary
settings. Henceforth .the ways it portrayed the central messages of it to avid
viewers is something relatable as well as catchy.
Holistically , even though it lasted for several weeks but its impacts to
Filipinos more especially now a days breed of audience is perpetual. As a matter
of fact, many of theme are still fanatical with it to the extent that the character
of Fidel ,Klay,Maria Clara, Crisostomo Ibarra and more are somewhat
memorable. However , we need accept the truth that it finally ended on air but
the glimpse and the content of its story as well as the lessons are for keeps.
Indeed , it is worth truly appreciating and absolutely exlellent.
During the shows often-trending run, it manage to weave an important
and relevant lessons, learnings and nuggets of wisdom that could be applied
whether it be the 1800’s or the 21st century.
This telerserye teach us to “stand up against INJUSTICE”. The main
reason why why Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo wre written was
because to expose the ills of Spanish Government occupying the country at that
time. And maria clara at Ibarra wins that cause with its story line. But more than
that pushing back against the colonial rulers , the series also showed us what it
means to push back to injustice. So , I hope that We, should not be afraid to call
out for injustice just like Maria Clara and Ibarra did in the story.
And now lets go to “KLAY” one of my favorite who portray in this
character she was from Gen Z generation , who is transported to this Serye.
KLAY is a careless student , particularly in Rizal. She hates history, she always
had a fight with his professor in history and if she did not comply she will failed
in history. A special request from her professor will make her understand the
significance of history.
KLAY was a working student, she was a dedicated student with a
separated family ,she was living with her Mother. She also has a brother named
Elias and her mother named Narcisa.
KLAY excels in other subjects, but she really dislikes history because she
always tell her professor that history has nothing to do with her nursing course.
A Few hours after her professor offered her an old book called Noli Me Tangere
to learned and study about values and lesson of the novel , she finally begins to
read when she is done reading the chapter 3, she asleep and woked up magically
in the Noli Me Tangere , she shocked and terrified because there was an actual
Maria Clara and Ibarra in the nobility. Klay was different from other binibini’s
they told her she was a thief. She Rush and finally meets Maria Clara, and she
recognize herself that she is now in the nobility. Since she was there, she
dressed like binibini and when Maria Clarra sees her bra, she ask what is it
because that thing was not existed during that time.
Klay was very talkative, she talks all about the novel and it makes her a
psychiatric person as they said because she talks about the noble. She witnessed
how padre damaso Mistreated a girl. She rushed again and meet Crisostomo
Ibarra , who she followed since she had’nt realize yet.
This chapter teach us a lesson that we should treat others with respect ,
reagardless of her status in life. Never mistreat other people , life is a circle you
never know when it turns in their favor.
