Abstract
With an increased number of Electric Vehicles (EVs) on the roads, charging infrastructure
is gaining an ever-more important role in simultaneously meeting the needs of the local distribution
grid and of EV users. This paper proposed system RFID system for user identification and charging
authorization as part of a smart charging infrastructure providing charge monitoring and control.
The RFID provides a cost-efficient solution to identify and authorize vehicles for charging and
would allow EV charging to be conducted effectively while observing grid constraints and meeting
the needs of EV drivers. The vehicle charging is based on voltage level. In this system we can
monitor our charging level through the server at any where any time using IOT.

Challenges in implementing RFID-based smart charging systems include ensuring secure data transmission to protect user data and improve system interoperability across different geographic locations and vehicle models. Solutions involve utilizing robust encryption methods and standardizing RFID protocols. Moreover, integrating with cloud services and IoT technologies can address issues related to data management and system updates, ensuring a scalable and adaptable infrastructure .

The integration of a smart charging controller with RFID technology streamlines the charging process by automating user authorization and charge initiation. When an EV equipped with RFID enters a charging station, the RFID reader identifies and authorizes the vehicle without user intervention. The smart charging controller manages this seamless interaction and ensures that charging is activated efficiently, reducing operational steps and enhancing convenience for users .

The proposed smart EV charging system improves efficiency by using RFID technology for seamless user identification and charging authorization, reducing user intervention while ensuring secure transactions. Key technological components include RFID tags for vehicle identification, RFID readers, an Arduino controller for processing signals, and an IoT cloud service for real-time data management. The system also features multiple output voltage levels (60V, 48V, 12V) for flexibility in charging various EV types, and supports remote management and diagnostics to enhance operational efficiency .

Transitioning to electric vehicles and establishing widespread EV charging infrastructure has significant environmental benefits, such as reducing CO2 emissions, thereby helping to combat global warming. Economically, the adoption of e-mobility reduces dependency on imported conventional fuels, lowers operational and maintenance costs for vehicle owners, and stimulates economic growth through government subsidies and increased business opportunities around charging stations. This shift also supports the development of smart cities by integrating EVs with urban infrastructure for improved energy management .

IoT technologies can reduce charging station downtime by enabling remote diagnostics and resolution; faults can be diagnosed and remedied without physical visits, thereby minimizing downtime. User experience is enhanced through features such as energy usage reports, remote charge management, and 'Over the Air' updates, which keep the system current and responsive to the latest vehicle requirements. These technologies also allow users to make informed decisions and manage their charging times efficiently, reducing costs and optimizing energy use .

Implementing demand response strategies in EV charging infrastructure offers benefits such as balancing grid load during peak demand times and reducing the need for rapid response power plants, which can be costly and environmentally harmful. These strategies involve dynamically adjusting charging schedules based on real-time grid conditions, which helps in smoothing demand spikes and ensures grid stability. Furthermore, these strategies enable energy providers to optimize resource allocation and reduce operational costs while supporting increased EV adoption .

Smart cities promote electric vehicle adoption by integrating advanced communication and IoT technologies with urban infrastructure. Synergies between smart city technologies and EVs include enhanced connectivity, which allows vehicles to interact with other urban systems for optimal energy distribution and management. Smart grids, IoT-enabled traffic systems, and adaptive charging infrastructures contribute to efficient energy management and reduced emissions, aligning with smart city goals of sustainability and reduced environmental impact .

Real-time data management via IoT cloud services enhances decision-making for EV charging users by providing immediate access to energy usage statistics, charger status, and fault alerts. Users can monitor their charging efficiency, adjust their usage to off-peak times to reduce costs, and receive timely updates on firmware changes. These capabilities facilitate informed decisions and responsive management of charging sessions, thereby optimizing the user experience and ensuring effective energy use .

The coin-based mobile battery charger system offers advantages such as providing a unique charging solution in rural areas where grid power is limited and generating revenue for site providers. It facilitates communication by ensuring mobile phones remain operational in remote areas. However, limitations include its inability to fully charge a mobile device and its dependency on manual coin operation, which may limit convenience. The system is primarily designed to offer temporary charging solutions rather than comprehensive charging functionality .

Traditional fixed-direction solar panels are limited by their inability to adjust toward the sun’s movement, reducing efficiency as they capture less sunlight throughout the day. The proposed solar tracking system uses a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) and a mechanical controller to dynamically adjust the panel's orientation, maximizing sunlight exposure and energy capture. This results in higher power output and increased efficiency, addressing the limitations of fixed systems and optimizing energy use for EV charging stations .
