Section A: Grammar
I. Nouns
Noun (Danh từ) là từ chỉ người, sinh vật, sự vật, sự việc, khái niệm, hiện tượng.

II. Countable nouns


Danh từ đếm được (Countable nouns) là những danh từ chỉ sự vật tồn tại độc lập riêng lẻ,
có thể đếm được, có thể sử dụng với số đếm đi liền đằng trước từ đó.

Danh từ đếm được có hai loại: danh từ số ít (singular nouns) và danh từ số nhiều (plural
nouns). Danh từ số ít thường được chuyển sang dạng số nhiều bằng cách thêm “s” hoặc
“es” vào tận cùng của danh từ, hoặc có một số trường hợp bất quy tắc.

Đại từ nhân xưng (Personal pronouns) là những đại từ dùng để chỉ và thay thế cho một
danh từ chỉ người hoặc vật, khi không muốn đề cập trực tiếp hoặc lặp lại không cần thiết
các danh từ ấy.
Đại tư nhân xưng có hình thức chủ ngữ (subject) và tân ngữ (object) hoàn toàn khác nhau
(trừ you và it).

II. First conditional


Câu điều kiện (Conditional sentences) dùng để nêu ra giả thiết rằng khi một sự việc nào đó
xảy ra hoặc không xảy ra, nó sẽ dẫn đến một kết quả nào đó. Một câu điều kiện có hai mệnh
đề.

• Mệnh đề chính, hay còn gọi là mệnh đề kết quả.


• Mệnh đề phụ, hay còn gọi là mệnh đề điều kiện, thường chứa “if”, nêu lên điều
kiện để mệnh đề chính thành sự thật.

Thông thường mệnh đề chính sẽ đứng trước mệnh đề phụ đứng sau. Tuy nhiên, chúng ta có
thể đảo mệnh đề phụ lên trước câu và thêm dấu phẩy vào sau mệnh đề phụ để ngăn cách
giữa mệnh đề phụ và mệnh đề chính.

Câu điều kiện loại 1, còn được gọi là câu điều kiện có thực ở hiện tại, diễn tả sự việc có thể
xảy ra trong hiện tại hoặc tương lai.

III. Imperatives
Câu mệnh lệnh (Imperatives) là cấu trúc câu thường sử dụng để đưa ra sự yêu cầu, sai
