1) Tell me about yourself?


Ans: "Good morning/afternoon/evening" sir/mam.
First of all, thank you for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Ajeet Kumar. I am 20 years old.
As far as my education qualification is concerned, I have completed my higher secondary
examination from………….School, in the year of 2014.
Currently I am studying Data Entry Operator Course/ Food and Beverage Operation from JIS
Foundation.
About my family, I belong to a middle-class family. My father is a Businessman, and my Mother is a
homemaker.
My strength is self-confidence, positive attitude, and hard work.
My hobbies are watching news channels, playing volleyball
That is all about me. Thank you.

2) Tell me something which is not mentioned in your cv?

Ans: There is something which I have forgotten to mention in cv is about my another hobby that is
reading books. I also love to read books especially the thriller genre. Mahesh Ghosal is my favorite
author and I love his works.

You can answer this question by explaining any type of your hobby which you have not
mentioned in your cv in the hobby section. You can also answer this question by including your
past achievements or goal.

For example: There is something which I have forgotten to mention in cv is about my past
achievement of securing the first position in my inter debate school competition in 2014. It was a
great event and taught me a lot.

3) Why do you want to join ITes/Hotel industry? (Or) What do you know about ITes/Hotel industry?

Ans: As we all know ITes industry is one of the best industries in the world and it is growing rapidly
and I want to be a part of it. The salary growth and career progression here is much more excellent
in comparison to other industries. I believe this industry will give me many opportunities to learn
and grow myself. I also want to join this industry because I also have the relevant skills.

Hotel industry is one of the best industries in world and it is growing rapidly and I want to be a part
of this industry. Being a steward/front office associate will give me the necessary insights that I
would need to understand the industry. Apart from this hotel industry is an evergreen industry and
staying here and gaining knowledge will become fruitful for me in the future.

4) Why are you applying for this job? (Or) Why these roles attract you?

Ans: First of all data entry operator is an entry level job in IT industry. Since I do not have much
knowledge about IT industry I believe starting with this job role will give me the knowledge that I
need. Apart from these I have applied for this vacancy because it is an excellent match for my skills
and experience. This role is exactly the sort of role I am currently targeting, and I am confident I will
be able to make a major contribution.

Being a steward/front office associate will give me the necessary insights that I would need to
understand the industry. Apart from this hotel industry is an evergreen industry and staying here
and gaining knowledge will become fruitful for me in the future. My current skill set also matches
with the job role; hence I am applying for this position.

5) What do you know about this organization? (Or) Why do you want to join this company?

Ans: As we know your company is one of the best companies in Kolkata/India/World and it is
growing rapidly. I want to be a part of it. I also believe this company will give me the opportunities
to learn and gather knowledge about IT industry/F&B industry and will help me to grow myself both
professionally and personally. That is why I want to join your organization.

 Do study about the company’s history like when it was established?


 How many branches it has right now?
 Who is current CEO and Director?
 and also where is the headquarter located?

6) Would you like to work overtime or odd hours?

Ans: I know that in the company being asked to work for an extended number of hours comes with
a good reason, so I am ok with it. It an extra effort means I am doing something for the company, I'll
be happy to do it.

7) What is more important to you: the money or the work?

Ans: Money is always important, but the work is most important for me.
I would say that work is more important. If we work and achieve Company goals then obviously
money would follow. I believe work to be prior.

8) Why should we hire you?


Ans: I believe that everyone starts with a beginning and I need a platform to prove my abilities and
skills. I think your company is the right place to explore my abilities. If given a chance and I become
a part of your company, I'll put my effort and strength to uplift your organization and I will do my
level best for the betterment of this company.

9) What are your salary expectations?


Ans: I am more interested in the role than the pay, and I expect to be paid appropriate money for
this role based on my skills. Learning and gaining experience is my major priority. Still if I have to
admit an amount I would say that I am comfortable in between 10-11k.

10) Assume you are hired, then how long would you expect to work for us?

Ans: I will do my best for the growth of your company as long as I have the career growth, job
satisfaction, respect and a healthy environment, then I don't need to change my company.
I will work with the company as long as my presence benefits the company and I get ample
opportunity to grow and develop both professionally and monetarily.

11) How would you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10?

Ans: I will rate myself 8 out of 10 because I would like to think that there should be a room left for
putting in more efforts. That thought will create an interest in learning the things. Thank you very
much for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

12) What are your achievements in life?

Ans: My biggest accomplishment is overcoming my fear of failure. It gives me a complete sense of


living and makes me more confident.

13) What is your objective in life?

Ans: My short-term goal is to work in a reputed organization like yours where I can enhance my
technical skills and knowledge.
My long-term goal is to see the company at a topmost position where I am one of the people
responsible for that.
My goal is to become a successful person and make my family proud of me.

14) What are your strengths?

Ans: I always understand the value of time, and I am always able to innovate. I listen to advice from
others.

Along with you can also add that you are a hardworking person or punctual person, disciplined,
work oriented etc. but only include one or two strengths not more than that.

15) What are your weaknesses?

Ans: I am a straightforward person, and I cannot say no when someone asks me for help.

I am a workaholic person. Sometimes working too much affects my health.

16) Explain, how would you be an asset to this organization?

Ans: I'll be passionate about my work, and if given a chance I'll be ready to expose myself into
different sectors of work into the industry, and would be faithful to the company always.

17) Would you lie for the company?

Ans: It depends on the situation if my lie creates a positive impact on the company and It was useful
for many people, then I will lie.

18) What does success mean to you?

Ans: If I feel I am making a difference working with a team of people to make a more profitable
company. It is a success for me.
19) Describe yourself in one word? And why are you describing yourself with this word?

Ans: Original, genuine, logical, incredible, focused, curious, active, quick, balanced, achiever, etc.

Choose only one which you like but ready the answer why are you comparing yourself with that
particular word.

20) What is the difference between confidence and overconfidence?

Ans: Confidence is based on facts and knowledge, and overconfidence is based on speculation.
There is a small difference between confidence and overconfidence. Yes, I can do this work is self-
confidence. But only I can do this work is overconfidence.

Or you can say that: confidence is an internal belief that I am a right person for this job and
overconfidence is thought that I am only the right person for this job.

21) What is the difference between smart work and hard work?

Ans: Smart work and hard work are related to each other. Without being a hard worker, we can't
be a smart worker. Smart work comes from the hard work. That means everyone has to specialize
in his work to become a smart worker. So, all of us have to do hard work to achieve smart work.

So hard work increases your accuracy, and smart work increases accuracy as well as efficiency.

22) How do you handle stress, pressure, and anxiety?

Ans: I believe in working in a planned way and finishing my work regularly. I always react to
situations, rather than to stress. In this way, I handle the situation and don't take the stress.

23) What was the most difficult decision you have made in your past life?

Ans: After completing my graduation/higher secondary examination, the toughest decision is


whether to go for higher studies or do a job. Then I chose the job because getting trained is better
than educated and it was also the demand of that time.

24) How do you deal with an angry or irritated customer?

Ans: I would ask the customer to explain his problem and carefully listen to him. After that, I do my
best to solve his problem. If that problem is not regarding my work area, I will speak to someone
who could help him immediately.

I would try to find out exactly what the problem was, and evaluate if there was something I could
do to make it right.
