CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

“If your business is not on the internet, your business will be out of the business”- Bill Gates.
One of the most famous quotes from Bill Gates explains the importance of ecommerce as
Ecommerce is the sale of goods and services where the buyer places an orders, or the prices
and tremens of the sales are negotiated over Electronic Data interchange, the Internet, or any
other online system.

1.1 Introduction to the organization

Blanxer is an easy-to-use platform designed to help you run, manage, and grow your business
online. With Blanxer, you can create an online store, add products, manage inventory, accept
online payments, and much more. Launched on January 1, 2022, by CEO Prashant Phuyal
and CTO Kiran Neupane, Blanxer was born out of the challenges faced while navigating the
eCommerce landscape in Nepal. Whether you are a small physical store, an influencer, or a
growing D2C brand, Blanxer makes it simple to create a fully functional, customizable
website without requiring any technical expertise. From managing inventory and accepting
online payments to tracking orders and analyzing sales data, Blanxer streamlines operations
through a single, user-friendly dashboard. The platform's primary mission is to provide a more
systematized eCommerce solution that businesses of all scales can utilize efficiently.
Blanxer offers a wide range of services, including custom domains, payment gateways,
website customization, staff management, coupon codes, order management, inventory
management, advanced analytics, logistics integrations, issue management, blogs, Google
Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, [Link], and Blanxer SMS. These features have
allowed Blanxer to distinguish itself from competitors.
Currently, Blanxer is operated by a dedicated team of 11-12 members. The company follows a
flat organizational structure, enabling every employee to communicate efficiently and directly
with the CEO and CTO.
Blanxer’s unique value proposition lies in its market reach, extensive coverage, and
exceptional utilization of social media platforms and influencer marketing. With services such
as order management, Google Analytics, issue management, and more, Blanxer caters not only
to business owners but also to influencers, D2C brands, and others. This versatility and
accessibility make Blanxer stand out and easily recognizable compared to its competitors.

5
1.2 Current scenario of the organization.

With the smart utilization of social media and digital marketing platforms, Blanxer has
successfully built brand awareness and established a growing market presence. As an
emerging player in the eCommerce space, Blanxer makes it easier for businesses to build and
scale their online presence. By leveraging social media and digital platforms, it helps small
businesses, influencers, and D2C brands connect with their audience and drive sales. With
features like custom domains, website customization, payment gateways, order management,
and advanced analytics, Blanxer offers an all-in-one solution that requires no technical
expertise. Its affordability and ease of use make it a strong competitor, attracting businesses
seeking a simpler and smarter way to grow online.
However, Blanxer faces several challenges in becoming a dominant eCommerce platform.
One of the key hurdles is the limited awareness and adoption of online business solutions,
particularly among traditional businesses unfamiliar with digital commerce. Additionally, the
lack of proper education on eCommerce tools and strategies makes it difficult for some users
to take full advantage of Blanxer’s features.
Another challenge lies in consumer perception customers might not find the websites created
on Blanxer visually appealing or user-friendly enough, which could impact business
conversions. Accessibility issues may also arise, making it harder for end consumers to
navigate and engage with businesses using the platform. Overcoming these challenges will
require a combination of education, marketing, platform enhancements, and customer support
to ensure a seamless experience for both businesses and their customers.
Blanxer’s ongoing expansion plans focus not only on supporting online stores but also on
helping physical, existing stores embrace the online market. This strategy aims to bridge the
gap for businesses that have traditionally operated offline, enabling them to reach a larger
customer base through digital channels. By simplifying the process of going online, Blanxer is
helping businesses transition smoothly into the eCommerce world.
Looking ahead, Blanxer has set its sights on international expansion as part of its long-term
growth strategy. The platform aims to extend its presence beyond Nepal, tapping into global
markets and offering its affordable, user-friendly eCommerce solutions to businesses
worldwide.

CHAPTER 2: BUSINESS MODEL AND DIGITAL MARKETING

2.1 Types of Business Model

A business model is a framework that outlines how a company creates, delivers, and captures
value. It defines the company's revenue streams, target customers, cost structure, and overall
strategy for sustaining profitability. A strong business model ensures that an organization
effectively utilizes its resources to generate revenue while meeting customer needs. Business
models can vary based on the nature of transactions and market focus. Some of the most
common business models include:
 Business-to-Business (B2B) – Companies sell products or services to other businesses.
 Business-to-Consumer (B2C) – Companies sell directly to individual consumers.
 Business-to-Government (B2G) – Businesses provide services or products to
government agencies.
Blanxer operates under a Business-to-Business (B2B) model. The Business-to-Business
(B2B) model involves companies selling products or services to other businesses rather than
individual consumers. The transactions in a B2B model are typically larger in volume, have
longer sales cycles, and involve contract-based agreements. B2B businesses provide solutions
that help other companies operate more efficiently, expand their reach, or enhance
productivity.
Blanxer primarily serves other businesses rather than individual consumers. The company acts
as a digital enabler, helping businesses establish and grow their online presence by providing
essential e-commerce tools and services. By offering a range of digital solutions, Blanxer
simplifies the process of running an online business, allowing its clients to focus on their core
operations while leveraging Blanxer’s expertise in digital commerce.

Blanxer follows a subscription-based revenue model, where businesses pay an annual fee to
access its platform and services. This model ensures a steady stream of recurring revenue
while providing customers with continuous updates and support. Additionally, Blanxer has
diversified its revenue streams by integrating commissions from various partnerships.
Blanxer’s Revenue Streams
Blanxer has developed a diversified revenue model that ensures steady income while
providing businesses with essential digital tools and services. The company's revenue is
generated through a subscription model, commissions from partnerships, eCommerce material
supply, and digital marketing services.
1. Subscription Model
Blanxer operates on a subscription-based revenue model, where businesses pay a yearly fee to
access its platform. This subscription grants them access to:
 Digital Tools & Templates: Businesses can either create and customize their online
stores using Blanxer’s pre-built website templates or request a fully custom website
designed by Blanxer. This flexibility eliminates the need for extensive web
development, allowing businesses to choose between a quick setup or a tailored
solution based on their needs.
 Automated Inventory Management: The platform provides tools to track stock
levels, restocking alerts, and order synchronization, ensuring smooth operations.
 Business Analytics: Companies gain insights into customer behavior, sales trends, and
performance metrics, helping them make data-driven decisions.
 Seamless Order Processing: The platform integrates with logistics and payment
providers, allowing businesses to process orders efficiently with minimal manual
effort.
 Customer Support & Training: Blanxer offers customer support services, including
troubleshooting, onboarding assistance, and training on how to maximize platform
features.

2. Commissions from Partnerships

In addition to subscription fees, Blanxer generates revenue through commission-based
partnerships with key service providers. These collaborations benefit both parties by
streamlining business operations and ensuring seamless transactions.
 Logistics Providers: Blanxer has partnered with third-party shipping and courier
services, enabling businesses to ship their products effortlessly. It earns a commission
on every shipment booked through its platform. This service helps businesses reduce
delivery costs and improve shipping efficiency while providing them with a centralized
logistics solution.
 Payment Gateways: Blanxer integrates with multiple payment gateways to facilitate
smooth financial transactions. It earns a percentage-based commission on every
transaction processed through its platform.
8
 Legal & Business Registration Services: Many new businesses require legal
documentation, tax registration, and compliance support to operate legally. Blanxer
connects startups and small businesses with legal professionals and registration
services, earning a referral commission for every successful registration. This service
reduces administrative burdens for entrepreneurs and ensures compliance with local
business regulations.

3. E-commerce Material Supply

Blanxer supports businesses by supplying essential materials for e-commerce operations,
ensuring they can efficiently handle order fulfillment and packaging. These materials include:
 Packaging Materials: Blanxer supplies bubble wrap, tapes, shipping labels, and
customized packaging solutions, helping businesses maintain product safety and
branding.
 QR Code Printers: Many businesses require QR codes for tracking, billing, and
product authentication. Blanxer provides high-quality QR code printers that help
streamline business operations.

4. Digital Marketing & Advertising Services

Blanxer provides businesses with customized digital marketing strategies to improve their
brand visibility and drive customer engagement. The company earns revenue by offering:
 Social Media Marketing: Blanxer runs targeted ad campaigns on platforms like
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring businesses reach their desired audience. It
offers paid promotions and organic content strategies to help businesses build an online
presence.
 Paid Advertising & Search Engine Marketing (SEM): Blanxer manages pay-per-
click (PPC) advertising campaigns, ensuring businesses maximize their ad spend by
targeting high-conversion customers. It helps with Google Ads, YouTube promotions,
and sponsored content to increase website traffic.
 Video Marketing & Commercial Advertisements: The company creates professional
video advertisements for businesses, showcasing their products and services through
engaging storytelling. It helps businesses produce short-form content for TikTok,
Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, boosting engagement and brand recognition.
Blanxer’s multi-stream revenue model ensures long-term financial sustainability while
providing comprehensive digital solutions for businesses.

9
2.2 Digital Marketing Techniques

Blanxer employs a diverse range of digital marketing strategies to enhance its brand visibility,
attract businesses, and drive engagement on its platform. These strategies focus on social
media outreach, paid promotions, influencer collaborations, and customer-driven
improvements.
1. Social Media Marketing
Blanxer actively promotes its services on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram,
leveraging social media’s wide reach. It engages businesses through interactive content,
targeted ads, and community-driven discussions to increase awareness. Commercial
advertisements and promotional campaigns help establish credibility and attract potential
clients.
2. Paid Marketing
The company invests in paid digital advertising on platforms like Facebook, Google Ads, and
other social networks to expand its reach. These ads target specific business audiences,
helping convert online engagement into subscriptions and direct sales. Retargeting strategies
ensure that users who interact with Blanxer’s content see follow-up ads, increasing conversion
rates. Blanxer pays a fee each time a user clicks on its ad. This ensures that advertising costs
are spent on people who show interest in its services.
 Video Advertisements
Blanxer actively creates video advertisements to educate businesses about its platform and
services. These videos serve as a powerful tool for raising awareness and guiding potential
clients on how Blanxer can help them establish and grow their online stores.
Blanxer prefer social media marketing over other techniques because of following reasons:
 Social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram allow Blanxer to reach a
large audience of potential clients.
 Engaging content such as video ads and promotional posts helps build brand
recognition.
 Platforms like Facebook offer advanced targeting options, allowing Blanxer to reach
specific business owners based on demographics, interests, and online behavior.
 With low investment, Blanxer can generate significant brand awareness and customer
engagement.
 Blanxer can track ad performance, including reach, impressions, and conversion rates.
 Since Blanxer only pays when users click the ad, it ensures efficient spending and
higher conversion potential.

10
Customer Attraction and Retention Strategies
Blanxer employs multiple strategies to attract and retain businesses on its platform. These
efforts focus on marketing, customer service, and continuous platform improvement to ensure
long-term engagement.
1. Social Media Marketing for Customer Attraction: Blanxer promotes its services
through Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, using targeted ads and engaging content.
Video advertisements help educate businesses about the platform’s benefits, encouraging
them to subscribe. Paid marketing campaigns ensure a wider reach, helping Blanxer
attract new customers effectively.
2. Customer-Centric Service for Retention: Blanxer provides responsive customer
service, addressing business owners' concerns efficiently. Instead of just fixing issues,
Blanxer proactively identifies and prevents potential challenges based on customer
feedback. Blanxer regularly updates its platform by adding new features based on
customer suggestions. This ensures that businesses get updated tools and services, making
the platform more valuable over time.
3. Building Long-Term Relationships: By listening to its users and improving the platform
accordingly, Blanxer creates trust and loyalty among businesses. Satisfied customers are
more likely to renew their subscriptions and recommend Blanxer to others.
Through effective digital marketing, customer support, and continuous innovation, Blanxer
successfully attracts new businesses and ensures long-term customer retention.
Measuring the Success of Digital Marketing Efforts
Blanxer evaluates the effectiveness of its digital marketing strategies through key performance
indicators (KPIs) that track engagement, conversions, and customer acquisition. The main
metrics include:
1. Monthly Views & Engagement: Blanxer tracks the number of views, likes, shares, and
comments on its social media advertisements and video content. Higher engagement
indicates greater brand awareness and interest in its services.
2. Service Conversions: The company monitors how many users sign up for its platform
after interacting with digital ads or visiting its website. Conversion rates help Blanxer
understand the effectiveness of paid marketing campaigns.
3. Customer Acquisition & Retention: Blanxer analyzes the number of new customers
acquired through digital marketing efforts. It also tracks how many existing customers
renew their subscriptions, indicating satisfaction with the platform.

11
2.3 Cost and Benefits of Digital Marketing

Blanxer recognizes digital marketing as a critical investment in expanding its reach and
acquiring new business clients. The company spends approximately NPR 1,00,000 to
2,00,000 per month on various digital marketing initiatives, including social media
advertising, video promotions, and targeted online campaigns. If Blanxer is currently utilizing
these free resources, its overall expenditure on digital infrastructure is low. However, as the
business grows, it may need to shift to paid services for better scalability and advanced
features.
Key Challenges in Digital Marketing
 Increasing Competition: The digital services market is highly competitive, with
numerous providers offering similar solutions. Many businesses already have
established partnerships or prefer well-known platforms. This makes customer
acquisition difficult for newer or growing companies like Blanxer, as they must
constantly differentiate their offerings to stand out in the crowded market.
 Changing Social Media Algorithms: Social media platforms such as Facebook,
Instagram, and TikTok frequently update their algorithms, affecting how ads reach
target audiences. Changes in engagement rates, visibility, and cost-per-click can
disrupt planned marketing campaigns. As a result, Blanxer’s paid promotions may not
always yield consistent results, making it difficult to predict and optimize marketing
expenses effectively.
 Lack of Awareness among Potential Customers: A significant number of small and
medium-sized businesses are not fully aware of how digital platforms can enhance
their operations. Many business owners lack knowledge about e-commerce solutions,
automation tools, or digital marketing strategies. Due to this gap in understanding,
convincing businesses to adopt Blanxer’s services requires more effort, as potential
customers may not immediately recognize the value of the platform.
 Difficulty in Tracking Conversion Rates: Unlike direct-to-consumer businesses
where sales occur instantly after marketing efforts, Blanxer’s customer journey is more
complex. Businesses often take time to research, compare options, and plan before
subscribing to a service. This delay makes it difficult to track how effective digital
marketing campaigns are in driving actual subscriptions. Measuring conversions from
digital advertisements becomes challenging when customers engage with Blanxer’s
promotions but subscribe after an extended period.
Strategies Blanxer Uses to Overcome These Challenges
 Differentiating Services in a Competitive Market: To stand out among competitors,
Blanxer focuses on offering a unique combination of services, including website
creation, automated inventory management, business analytics, and integrated logistics
12
support. By continuously improving its features and ensuring seamless user
experience, Blanxer aims to attract more businesses and establish itself as a reliable
service provider.
 Adapting to Social Media Algorithm Changes: Blanxer closely monitors changes in
social media algorithms and adjusts its marketing strategies accordingly. The company
experiments with different ad formats, invests in targeted advertising, and optimizes
content to maintain visibility. Diversifying marketing efforts across multiple platforms
also helps reduce dependency on any single algorithm.
 Building Trust and Credibility: To gain customer trust, Blanxer uses real customer
testimonials, success stories, and detailed case studies that demonstrate the
effectiveness of its services. It also provides transparent pricing models and free trials,
allowing businesses to explore the platform before committing to a subscription. By
highlighting measurable benefits, Blanxer works toward establishing credibility in the
market.
 Educating Potential Customers through Awareness Campaigns: To address the
lack of awareness among business owners, Blanxer creates informative video ads and
content that explain how its platform can help businesses grow. These educational
materials are shared across social media platforms to reach a wider audience.
Additionally, Blanxer offers customer support and onboarding assistance to help
businesses understand and utilize its services effectively.
 Improving Conversion Tracking and Customer Insights: Blanxer is working on
enhancing its analytics tools to better track customer engagement and conversion rates.
By analyzing customer interactions, time spent on the platform, and delayed sign-ups,
the company can refine its marketing strategies to improve long-term lead generation.

13
CHAPTER 3: TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

3.1 Web hosting services

Web hosting services allow individuals or businesses to store their website files on a server,
making them accessible to users via the internet. It's like renting space on the internet to store
files, images, databases, and content, enabling visitors to easily access the website. Blanxer
utilizes Dedicated Web Hosting provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
AWS is a comprehensive cloud computing platform offering a wide range of services like
computing power, storage, databases, machine learning, and more. AWS is designed for
scalability, providing businesses with a pay-as-you-go pricing model that’s accessible to
companies of all sizes.
Dedicated Web Hosting means renting an entire server exclusively for one website or
application. Unlike shared hosting, where multiple sites share the same server, dedicated
hosting offers more control, performance, and security. It is ideal for high-traffic websites,
resource-intensive applications, and security-sensitive projects. However, it comes at a higher
cost and requires more management than other hosting options.
Blanxer’s hosting expenses are kept relatively low due to their startup status, benefiting from
free credit sales. Their monthly maintenance costs range from NPR 40,000 to 50,000. If they
no longer had access to free credit sales, expenses could rise to NPR 100,000 to 200,000 per
month, covering additional costs such as infrastructure, tools, and services.

3.2 Internet infrastructure

The internet infrastructure is a vast and intricate network of both physical and virtual
components that enable global communication and the exchange of information. It
encompasses a wide range of technologies, protocols, and services that work together to make
the internet accessible and functional.
Fiber optics connections are the network backbone which consist of high capacity, long
distance fiber optic cables and routing equipment that connects major cities and region
worldwide. The cables are laid under the oceans and across the continent forming the
foundation of the internet’s physical infrastructure.
One of the key components of this infrastructure is Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Currently, World link Communication provides internet services to Blanxer, with a
bandwidth capacity of up to 300 Mbps. Network bandwidth refers to the maximum capacity
14
of a wired or wireless communication link to transmit data over a network connection in a
given amount of time. It's typically measured in bits, kilobits, megabits, or gigabits per second.
Networking hardware is essential for enabling communication and data transfer between
different computers and networks. These hardware components are required to create and
manage both local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN). Blanxer uses several
networking hardware devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, modems,
access points, and network cables to support its operations.
Another critical component of internal infrastructure is Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
A CDN is a distributed network of servers placed strategically across different locations
worldwide. It stores and delivers web content such as images, videos, and scripts, thereby
reducing latency and improving the performance of web services. Blanxer uses Singapore’s
CDN to enhance the speed and efficiency of its platform, ensuring quicker and more reliable
access to users, particularly in regions near Singapore.

3.3 Features and services of Internet

For Blanxer, several internet-related features are utilized to ensure a seamless and secure
experience for both businesses and users. These features enhance platform performance,
accessibility, and security. Some key features and services of internet are:

1. Remote access: Blanxer enables remote access to the platform for businesses and
administrators, allowing them to manage and monitor their online stores from any
location. This flexibility ensures that business owners and staff can handle their
operations effectively without being tied to a specific location.
2. Content Delivery Network (CDN):Blanxer uses Singapore’s CDN, which improves
the performance and speed of the platform. The CDN distributes content (like images,
videos, and scripts) across multiple servers located around the world. This ensures that
users experience faster load times and reduced latency, as content is served from a
server closer to them.
3. Social Media Marketing:Blanxer uses popular social media platforms like Facebook,
Instagram, and Twitter to increase brand awareness, promote its services, and engage
with potential clients. By leveraging targeted ads, influencer partnerships, and organic
content, Blanxer can reach a broad audience of small businesses, influencers, and D2C
brands.
4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): By optimizing its website and content for search
engines, Blanxer ensures that businesses using the platform can be easily discovered
online. Higher search engine rankings help attract more customers to their services.

5. Website Creation and Customization: Blanxer allows businesses to create and

customize their online stores easily, offering an accessible way to establish a digital
presence without technical expertise. This online platform benefits businesses by

15
giving those tools like custom domains, payment gateways, and order management
without the need for significant upfront costs.

6. Cloud-Based Solutions: Using cloud storage and scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS),
Blanxer ensure s that businesses have reliable, flexible, and secure storage for their
data. This flexibility enables businesses to scale up or down based on demand,
optimizing operational costs.
7. Advanced Analytics: Blanxer’s integration with analytics tools like Google Analytics
and Facebook Pixel helps businesses track customer behavior, refine marketing
strategies, and optimize conversions. These insights are valuable for decision-making
and refining customer acquisition strategies.
8. Payment Gateways: Blanxer supports integrated payment gateways that allow
businesses to easily process online payments. This feature enables businesses to
conduct transactions seamlessly and securely, which is crucial for eCommerce success.
9. Inventory and Order Management: The platform provides tools to help businesses
track stock, manage orders, and maintain efficient operations. These services are
critical for ensuring smooth logistics and customer satisfaction.
10. Affordable Platform: Blanxer benefits from providing an affordable, all-in-one
platform for small businesses, startups, and influencers. As a startup itself, Blanxer
capitalizes on its ability to offer services with minimal overhead costs by using
internet-based technologies such as cloud hosting, which reduces infrastructure
expenses.
11. Integrated Communication Tools: Blanxer integrates customer support services such
as [Link] for live chat support, offering businesses the ability to engage with
customers in real time. This immediate communication improves customer service,
trust, and retention.
Blanxer’s ability to leverage the internet through online marketing strategies, cloud
infrastructure, CDNs, and advanced analytics significantly contributes to its growth. The
platform helps businesses manage their eCommerce needs, reach global audiences, and make
data-driven decisions, all while benefiting from cost-effective solutions and improved
customer engagement.

3.4 Issues related to the internet

Blanxer has not faced any major security threats so far, thanks to its strong technical team that
is dedicated to safeguarding the platform’s servers. The team actively monitors and manages
the infrastructure with robust security measures, including firewalls, to prevent potential
vulnerabilities. This ensures that the platform remains secure for its users, without
compromising on safety.

16
However, Blanxer does face challenges related to slow internet speeds, which can negatively
impact the performance and user experience. To address this issue, the company is planning to
switch to NTC fiber networks for a more reliable and faster internet connection. Additionally,
Blanxer has power backup systems in place to ensure continuous operations in case of any
power disruptions, further enhancing the platform’s reliability and minimizing downtime.

CHAPTER 4: SECURITY AND PAYMENT SYSTEM

4.1 Security Threats

Major Security Threats Faced by Blanxer:

DDoS Attacks on Client Websites

One of the major security threats Blanxer faces is Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS)
attacks targeting the websites of its clients. These attacks flood the servers with excessive
traffic, causing website downtime, slow performance, and disruptions in business operations.
Since Blanxer provides website-building services, any such attack directly impacts the
credibility of its platform and the businesses relying on it.
A Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack is a type of cyberattack in which a malicious
actor overwhelms a website, server, or network with an excessive volume of internet traffic.
This attack is carried out using multiple compromised computers or devices (often called a
botnet) that flood the target system with requests, rendering it slow, unresponsive, or
completely inaccessible.
How DDoS Affects a Website:
 Website Downtime & Service Disruption: When a website is bombarded with an
overwhelming number of requests, it exhausts the server’s processing capacity. This
leads to website crashes or extremely slow loading times, making it impossible for
legitimate users to access the platform.
 Loss of Revenue & Business Operations: For businesses that rely on online
transactions, such as e-commerce platforms, a DDoS attack can halt operations,
leading to lost sales, failed transactions, and customer dissatisfaction. Prolonged
downtime can severely impact revenue and brand reputation.
 Increased Server Costs & Bandwidth Consumption: Since the attack generates
massive amounts of fake traffic, it consumes a significant portion of the website’s
bandwidth and server resources. This results in higher operational costs, especially for
businesses that pay for bandwidth usage.
 Security Vulnerabilities & Further Exploits: While a DDoS attack itself does not
steal data, it can serve as a distraction for other cyber threats. Attackers may use it to
divert attention from other hacking attempts, such as data breaches, malware
injections, or unauthorized access to systems.

17
 Damage to Brand Reputation: If a business frequently experiences website downtime
due to DDoS attacks, customers may perceive it as unreliable. This loss of trust can
lead to a decline in customer retention and negative publicity.
By disrupting normal website functions, DDoS attacks pose a significant threat to businesses
and organizations, making strong security measures essential to maintaining a stable and
secure online presence.

Security Measures Taken by Blanxer:

 IP Blocking for DDoS Mitigation: To protect client websites from DDoS attacks,
Blanxer has implemented an IP-blocking system. This security measure detects and
blocks suspicious traffic sources, preventing servers from being overwhelmed by
malicious requests.
 Bug V Security Protection: Bugv is a vulnerability coordination and bug bounty
platform based in Nepal that connects businesses with penetration testers and
cybersecurity researchers. The platform helps organizations identify and fix security
vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious attackers. Blanxer has
integrated Bug V, a security system designed to identify vulnerabilities, detect
anomalies, and prevent cyber threats. This system continuously monitors for security
breaches and strengthens the platform’s defense mechanisms.
 Regular Security Audits & Patching: The platform undergoes regular security audits
to identify and fix vulnerabilities. By continuously updating software, applying
patches, and securing integrations, Blanxer minimizes the risk of exploitation by
cybercriminals.
 User Awareness & Phishing Prevention: To safeguard its users from phishing
threats, Blanxer educates businesses about identifying suspicious emails, fake login
pages, and social engineering attacks. Users are encouraged to follow best security
practices to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts.

4.2 Technology Solutions

Blanxer implements various security technologies and data protection measures to safeguard
its platform and customer information. While some security features are already in place, the
company aims to enhance its security infrastructure further in the future.
Authentication and Data Security in Blanxer:
Blanxer prioritizes security by implementing Google-based authentication and data encryption
to protect user accounts and sensitive business information.
 Authentication through Google: Blanxer requires users to sign in using their Google
accounts, ensuring a secure and seamless login experience. This method leverages
Google’s advanced security infrastructure, including: Multi-factor authentication
(MFA) for added account protection. Auth 2.0 protocol, which prevents unauthorized

18
access by securely managing authentication tokens. By using Google authentication,
Blanxer reduces the risk of password breaches and unauthorized account access.
 Data Encryption for Security: All sensitive data, including customer details,
transaction records, and business analytics, are encrypted to prevent unauthorized
access. Encryption ensures that even if data is intercepted, it remains unreadable
without the correct decryption keys. Blanxer follows secure encryption standards,
protecting information both at rest (stored data) and in transit (data being transmitted
between systems).
 Data Backup and Disaster Recovery: Blanxer has data backup measures in place to
protect critical business and customer information. Regular backups ensure that data
can be restored in case of accidental loss, system failure, or cyberattacks. The company
is also working on enhancing its disaster recovery protocols to ensure business
continuity and data protection under all circumstances.
By integrating Google authentication and strong encryption methods, Blanxer ensures a secure
and reliable platform for businesses.

4.3 Types of Payment Systems

Blanxer provides multiple payment options to ensure seamless transactions for businesses and
their customers. It supports various digital payment methods, allowing businesses to accept
and process online payments with ease.
Supported Payment Methods
Blanxer integrates multiple payment options to provide businesses with a secure and efficient
way to process transactions. These methods include e-wallets, credit/debit cards, and bank
transfers, ensuring flexibility for both businesses and their customers.
1. E-Wallets: E-wallets, or digital wallets, are electronic payment systems that allow users
to store funds and make transactions online or through mobile applications. Blanxer
supports the following e-wallets:
 eSewa – Nepal’s first and most widely used digital wallet, enabling quick and secure
payments for goods, services, and utilities.
 Khalti – A digital wallet that provides mobile banking, utility payments, and online
shopping transactions.
 IME Pay – An e-wallet service offering domestic money transfers, bill payments, and
merchant transactions.
These e-wallets help businesses accept cashless payments, reducing reliance on physical
transactions and improving payment efficiency.
2. Credit/Debit Cards: Credit and debit cards allow customers to make secure payments via
card networks. Blanxer processes these transactions using CyberSource, a global payment
gateway. The supported card networks include:
 Visa – One of the most widely accepted payment networks, allowing users to make
transactions using debit, credit, and prepaid Visa cards.
19
 MasterCard – A global financial services corporation that provides secure payment
processing for debit and credit cards.
By integrating CyberSource, Blanxer ensures that businesses can accept payments from
customers worldwide, enhancing their payment flexibility.
3. Bank Transfers: Bank transfers allow businesses to receive payments directly into their
company bank accounts. Customers can transfer funds electronically from their bank
accounts to the business’s account, ensuring a secure and reliable payment method. This
option is beneficial for businesses that deal with large transactions or prefer to receive
payments without additional third-party fees. By supporting direct bank transfers, Blanxer
provides an alternative to digital wallets and card payments, catering to different business
needs.
4. Blanxer Payment Fulfillment Service: Blanxer provides its own payment processing
solution called Blanxer Payment Fulfillment Service. This service allows businesses to
start accepting online payments instantly, with multiple payment options such as FonePay,
eSewa, and CyberSource.
How It Works:
 Customers make a payment using one of the supported methods.
 Blanxer processes and collects the payment.
 The received amount is settled and transferred to the business’s account every Friday.
Payment Service Fee: Blanxer charges a flat payment service fee of 2.75% to 5%, depending
on the premium plan chosen by the business. After deducting this fee, the remaining amount is
transferred to the business’s bank account.
5. Custom Merchant Key Integration: Businesses that want to use their own merchant key
for eSewa and FonePay can do so by adding their key in the payment settings during
setup. This allows them to receive payments directly into their company’s bank account,
bypassing Blanxer’s Payment Fulfillment Service.

4.4 Issues Related to Payment System

Blanxer has encountered occasional payment failures due to external service providers, which
can disrupt business operations and lead to customer dissatisfaction. These failures arise from
various factors, including:
1. Downtime of eSewa, Khalti, and IME Pay: E-wallet services such as eSewa, Khalti, and
IME Pay operate on independent networks, and any system outage, maintenance, or
unexpected technical failure on their end can lead to delayed or failed transactions. This
can cause issues for businesses relying on these platforms for real-time payments. During
peak transaction hours, increased server loads can also slow down payment processing or
temporarily suspend services. In such cases, businesses must either wait for service
restoration or opt for alternative payment methods.

20
2. Bank Transfer Delays: Processing times for direct bank transfers depend on multiple
factors, such as banking hours, holidays, and system issues. Unlike instant e-wallet
payments, bank transfers often require manual verification, which can lead to delays,
especially for large transactions. Additionally, interbank transactions may experience
longer processing times if different banks have varying clearing procedures. These delays
can disrupt cash flow for businesses, causing challenges in maintaining smooth financial
operations.

3. Transaction Failures: Incomplete payments can occur due to several reasons, including:
 Network Connectivity Issues – Slow or unstable internet connections can cause
transactions to time out, leaving payments incomplete.
 Insufficient Funds – If a customer’s wallet or bank account lacks the required balance,
the transaction will fail. However, in some cases, the amount may still be deducted
temporarily before being refunded, leading to confusion.
 Payment Gateway Errors – Technical glitches in integrated payment gateways can
sometimes lead to transaction failures, requiring businesses to troubleshoot and
reattempt payments.
 Multiple Payment Attempts – Customers may try to process payments multiple times if
they encounter delays, leading to duplicate transactions, which can be difficult to
resolve if refunds take time.
Concerns Regarding Customer Trust in Online Payments
Customer trust in online payments plays a crucial role in determining whether businesses and
individuals adopt digital transactions. A lack of trust can lead to abandoned transactions,
reluctance to use online payment platforms, and slower adoption of digital commerce. The key
concerns include:
1. Security Risks & Fraud: One of the biggest concerns among customers is the potential
for fraud, data breaches, and phishing attacks when making digital payments.
Cybercriminals often exploit vulnerabilities in payment systems to steal sensitive
information such as card details, login credentials, and personal data. If a platform fails to
implement strong security measures like encryption and two-factor authentication,
customers may feel unsafe conducting transactions. The fear of identity theft or
unauthorized transactions can deter businesses from fully relying on digital payment
solutions.

2. Transaction Failures & Refund Issues: Customers often worry about what happens if a
payment fails but the amount is still deducted from their account. If the refund process is
slow, unclear, or requires manual intervention, customers may lose confidence in the
platform. Delays in refund processing, unresponsive customer support, or difficulty in
tracking failed transactions can lead to frustration and discourage users from making
21
future payments through the system. Ensuring a transparent and efficient refund policy is
essential for building trust.

3. Lack of Awareness & Digital Literacy: Many businesses and individuals, particularly in
regions where digital payments are still growing, lack awareness of secure transaction
practices. This limited knowledge can lead to fears of scams, misuse, or difficulty in
resolving disputes. Some users may not understand how digital payments work, which
makes them hesitant to trust online transactions over traditional cash payments.
Businesses must actively educate customers on security measures, fraud prevention, and
the reliability of digital payment platforms.

4. Hidden Fees & Transaction Charges: Unclear or high transaction fees can discourage
customers from using digital payment methods. If businesses and individuals feel that
service charges, processing fees, or additional costs are not transparent, they may prefer
cash transactions or alternative methods. Sudden deductions, unexplained charges, or
higher-than-expected service fees can create a negative perception of the payment
platform and reduce customer retention. Clearly communicating all charges upfront and
offering competitive transaction fees can help maintain trust.

4.5 Possible Solutions to Payment System Issues

Blanxer is actively working on improving its payment system to ensure smoother transactions,
enhance security, and build customer trust. Blanxer is continuously improving its payment
processing system to minimize transaction failures, increase speed, and ensure secure
transactions. The following advanced solutions are being implemented:
a. Payment through Link: Blanxer allows businesses to generate and share secure
payment links with their customers. This method simplifies transactions by enabling
customers to make payments directly without having to log in or navigate through
multiple platforms. Payment links reduce friction in the payment process, making it
more convenient for businesses and buyers alike.
 Use Cases: Businesses can send payment links via email, SMS, or social media
platforms, allowing customers to complete purchases with a single click.
 Security Measures: These links are encrypted and expire after a set time to prevent
unauthorized access or fraudulent transactions.
 Error Reduction: Eliminates issues related to incorrect account details or manual input
errors.

b. Dynamic QR Codes: To make transactions faster and more secure, Blanxer is

introducing Dynamic QR Codes that adjust in real-time based on the payment details.
Unlike static QR codes, which require manual updates for different amounts, dynamic
QR codes automatically generate the correct transaction amount and recipient details.
22
 Instant Payments: Customers simply scan the QR code using their preferred payment
app (eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, FonePay) to complete transactions instantly.
 Error-Free Transactions: The system automatically fills in the transaction amount and
business details, reducing the risk of incorrect payments.
 Higher Security: Since dynamic QR codes change for every transaction, they are
harder to duplicate, preventing fraud.

c. Trackable Transactions: Blanxer is integrating real-time transaction tracking features

that allow businesses to monitor the status of each payment. This improves
transparency and helps quickly resolve any issues that may arise.
 Instant Payment Confirmation: Businesses and customers receive real-time
notifications when payments are successfully processed.
 Dispute Resolution: In case of transaction failures, businesses can immediately track
and identify the cause, leading to faster resolution.
 Customer Trust: Providing businesses with detailed transaction histories and real-time
updates enhances credibility and transparency.
