This company is, like many others, an online scam that is impossible to cancel. I am quite certain that I cancelled before my trial period ended, yet money has been withdrawn from my card for over a year. Now when I log into “my account,” there is no button to cancel—the option is simply not available. When I contact customer service, they claim that I do not have an account, even though it clearly shows as active and money is being charged.

I got automatically switched to premium level after trial(20 euros/100 hours per month). I had never selected it (i was on basic level earlier, as that matches what I use) and customer support refuses a refund...a bit scammy...

I started a free trial in August via the mobile app and later discovered I’d been billed for 6 months at €19/month (around €114 total) without noticing. I contacted support as soon as I realized.
Their response: they “can’t find any sign” I cancelled previously, it’s the customer’s responsibility to cancel on time, they don’t send reminders when a trial converts to a paid subscription because it’s “common practice,” and therefore they won’t refund anything. They offered only to cancel the subscription going forward.
I understand subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. But a trial-to-paid flow that’s easy to forget, no reminder, and then a flat refusal to offer any goodwill refund when the customer raises it feels designed to profit from oversight rather than earn loyalty.
If you try this service, set a cancellation reminder the day you start the trial, and regularly check your App Store/Google Play subscriptions. I won’t use this company again based on how billing issues are handled.

Please font use this app. When you cancel your subscription they just keep on charging you every month. I contacted the customer service over more then 20 times without any response. There us no telephone number and no email reply. I stopper my subscription since 8-2024 and have been paying ever since as nobody responds or solves my problem

The app does not have an i watch app and the books do not always play even when Nextory is the only media app open on the device. The selecetion of books is the same as other peoviders and the overall functionallity of the app is good. It is also easy to search for new books using search. Not the Ai those recomendations are not good.

You have great set of books to listen and read. Some of the books I read dont have chapters and that is very annoying especially when listening book before sleeping. I have not recognise this same problem with any other solutions.

Got some try for two months free trial, did not find it useful. But ofc what i did miss was the autorenewal..So another 12 eurs for nothing.
To me this seems to be hostile marketing. But at least you get people to write reviews about you.

I love that you can find lots of audio books even recently released. I also love that you can listen and abandon books books is you realize they are not for you. You can download as many as you need for long walks or flights.

I used a free 20 hr test period but found it very difficult to discontinue and finish it. It can not be done in the app, and on the website it took me a long while to find out how to do it. I almost panicked and believed I involuntarily had signed up for a subscription.

I got a giftcard in Finland for my birthday and when I was about to start using it the code did not exist. I contacted the customer service but they weren't able to do anything about it although I sent them both the card nummer and the receat, where you could see when and where the giftcard was bought. Never ever will I use nextory again.

Poor usability. And reading time is calculated according to some strange formula. A fast reader gets about 30 hours of reading time instead of the promised 100 hours.

I use the app to read almost every night.
They have a broad catalogue of books to read and also to listen to. I would recommend a family subscription- good value for money.

I canceled my Nextory subscription a few months ago, but I was still charged $80 for a service I haven’t used. The subscription is now canceled, but I haven’t received a refund. This has been confusing and frustrating, and actually feels like a scam. I would appreciate it if Nextory could resolve this and issue my refund as soon as possible.
