Thank you so much!

My art style was honestly just created by me realising I can cut out all the annoying parts of the art process I don't like. I've always hated rendering, so I was like.. what if I just didn't? Line art and flat colors are what I have the most fun drawing, so I focused on those, and found different ways to indicated texture, shape, weight, all the stuff I used to render in by painting. Every time I draw something new, I have to figure out how to do it in my style, and that problem solving is part of the fun for me too!

I get most of my artistic inspiration from nature, architecture and just being a big woman-liker. I love to draw women in love in various (usually horrible) situations :)

Have you considered making Rainweaver as a series of zines instead of as a webcomic? Or maybe funding it through Patreon. Carving out time for passion projects as a freelancer sucks but I think you have a really powerful and unique narrative style, it shines through even in your standalone illustrations, and that there are people who would be willing to support your work for the sake of supporting it.

Thank you! It's always the struggle, finding enough time to tell stories is not easy in today's world. I hope to make Rainweaver somehow exist one day too, but at the moment I'm trying things out with my new idea - the mermaid pieces are a part of it. I would love to just make a bunch of illustrations and maybe some very short comics, some world building snippets, anything like that, and compile it all together.

Rainweaver is a full story, complete in my head. I feel it would work well as a book, but I'm no writer. This new project will work with my current strengths and limitations better, so I'm excited to explore it.

I appreciate the message a lot!
