Week 3: Pabu Culture I had liked making little crossover so much, that I did a couple more skecthes. And well, here we are. Plus when else to start beach season, if not in the end of august?))

Echo often warns the batch when he’s done with their shit. How you ask? How does one Arc trooper Echo alert this group of little shits that he’s annoyed and they have seconds to stop?

Counting.

Echo will just be minding his own and the batch are being annoying and they just won’t leave him alone and it often goes like this:

“You better knock it off.” Echo warns.

Hunter is the first to laugh, too comfortable lounging nearby. “Or what?” This draws a long sigh out of Echo who finally puts his datapad down.

“I’m going to count to three.” Echo says, casual, like he’s asking what they want for dinner. The four other men in the room look at each other, doubtful.

“So?” Wrecker asks with a playful lift in his voice.

Echo raises his eyebrow then says low and threateningly, “One.”

“Oh, yeah super intimidating.” Crosshair folds his arms over his chest, rolling his eyes.

“Two.” Echo ignores the way they brush it off, still goofing off and irritating him. Crosshair even throws a few more comments just to get under his skin.

“What are we, cadets?” Tech asks, but he’s unprepared for the next part.

“Three.” Echo smiles, a typically friendly gesture that now strikes terror into each of them. He stands and every one of them backs up and the ones that are smart run like hell.

The worst he does is chase them and use those well earned ARC skills (and his mischievousness) to take them down. He’s used his powers for evil and hidden just to spook them. He’s dropped down from the ceiling onto Wrecker’s back before which Wrecker found both terrifying and hilarious.

It’s all just an excuse to get some energy out and play a little. It’s so unserious even Echo can’t keep a straight face while counting sometimes but the excitement/fear/anticipation they feel when being chased by someone that literally doesn’t quit until he gets exactly what he wants is very real.

They’re all so silly and they love each other so much.

Okay i have another theory. (Correct me if i’m wrong i’m just dumping my idea here)

Clone training takes 10 years plus the 3 of war.

Omega is said to be around 10 years old at the start of the bad batch which is weird to say the least considering the “Dad Batch tm” is 13. She said she saw them get genetically engineered, or at least that she was there.

In the first theory of she witnessed it she had to he at least 3 or 4 because if she was younger she probably wouldn’t remember it, possibly even older than that.

But if she was only there when they were created she still would have been 13 by now no? But she states quite a lot that she’s older than them which makes me more inclined towards my first theory.

So i think Omega should have been way older at the start of season one. But that’s just me i think.

As far as I'm aware, none of their ages have been confirmed, we just know that Omega is older than the rest of the Batch, and that she is older than them enough to remember them being made (which means she cannot be younger than 12 in the first season (putting her as 2 years older than the Batch, unlikely, but plausible), any younger than that makes the Batch too young to be reasonable).

But, yeah, I'm pretty sure you are right. Tech says in 1x09 that Omega has pure 1st gen DNA, that doesn't automatically mean that she was made at the same time as the other 1st gen clones, but it does kinda imply that she is. And that would make her 13 in the first season, and the rest of the Batch are most likely 10 or 11 (biologically 20 or 22).

I think a reasonable explanation for why she seems so young in the first season is that she's a late bloomer and hadn't hit her growth spurt yet. She's quite a lot bigger in season 2, and seems reasonably 14, so I think that that makes sense.

I think it also wouldn’t be wrong to assume she was made before the gen one, as a “prototype”, or maybe (more likely) created before every other clone by Nala Se to help her with the rest. Obviously she wouldn’t have been created with a clear purpose so maybe that’s plausible?

Also i’ve red some sources i don’t know where that confirm that the bad batch are also gen one clones, which would make them 13 yo. I support this theory because i think their genetic engineering would have taken some time at least. So maybe Omega saw them growing up inside their bacta tanks or something. Messing with their genetics definitely didn’t take a day.

But i also love the theory of her being a late bloomer! It seems very likely to assume that.

(Probably the ones that made the show didn’t think it though but yeah)
