Scott crashlands in a lake in the Swamp Empire, hurting his wings in the process. Prince Jimmy finds him sinking and pulls him out of the water. They both determine that Scott definitely can't just fly back to Rivendell, so Jimmy offers to let him stay in the swamp. Scott slowly recovers, and it's enough time for something to bloom between them. All ships are just the characters, not the real people! I did all the art, and it is all mine unless stated otherwise. With growing desperation and new feelings for one of his friends, can he manage to use his power to free them? This is 100% a ship fic. Ships: desertduo, implied boat boys, jizzie, platonic flower husbands (for now). This story is specifically set up to read Simple Life before the first five seasons (Third, Last, Double, Limited, Secret), so it is recommended that you read them in the order that they are published. I guess you could still do whatever you want. That's just what's recommended. This story does have a planned ending, and it will be worth it to reach the end, but it'll be a LONG ride. So far, the word count is 40,000, and I think I'm 85% done. There is a sequel. !!!TW: This story will contain themes of a MINOR suicide attempt, death, gore, small mental torture (Martyn lore), and slight emotional abuse. The sequel will contain themes of suicide, self-hate, depression, PTSD, and more emotional abuse (disclaimer: the "emotional abuse" is just watchers being mean). If you are sensitive to any of these topics, I do not recommend this fanfiction for you. There's nothing majorly TW-worthy (like there's just typical death and killing because life series lmao) in the first chapter (Simple Life) so if you want, you can just read that.
