The kingdom of Elixion was once a prosperous one but those days are long gone. The kingdom got lazy and overconfident and for the past one hundred years it has been teetering on the brink of collapse due to a number of reasons like corruption and overspending. The final blow was dealt by Elixion's closest neighbor, Skandia. Princess Luna was captured during this siege and was then expected to be one of the king's many wives she refuses so she is given to chose to marry him or be killed. Luna refuses to accept both of these options so she does what she thinks is her only option, run away. When Luna flees from the Skandian empire she runs into a group of mages. She decides to join them while concealing the fact that she was a former princess and is now running away from a powerful empire. At first they believe in her false identity but what will happen when they finally see through her web of lies and realize they have let a fugitive into their ranks? Luna was not the down to earth princess from a fairytale. She is frivolous, selfish, and snobbish. But once everything that she had was taken away, Luna begins to discover things about herself that she never knew.

Story centres around Kaitlyn x Solis, with other pairings, original characters and other various non-canon elements featured throughout the story. This story will not be exact in a few of the canon events that have happened within the siege universe, however, where possible I will try to stick to the siege universe canon. This is my second attempt at creating an engaging fan narrative, to be quite frank, my first story sucks, and I hope this one will be much better, but I can always improve; feedback is greatly appreciated to help me improve my writing skills.
