Executive Summary:
This reflective portfolio is an in-depth and comprehensive representation of my academic
journey throughout the semester. The purpose of this portfolio is to showcase my personal and
professional growth while highlighting the various experiences that have contributed to my
development.
Comprising a collection of thought-provoking reflections and evidence-based artifacts, this
document encapsulates not only my learning outcomes but also details every challenge I
encountered along the way. Through self-reflection on these experiences, I was able to identify
areas where I excelled as well as those which required improvement - providing me with
valuable insight into enhancing future endeavors.
In addition to offering a personal account, this portfolio showcases how I've applied learned
knowledge through rigorous academic coursework spanning several fields such as business
administration or marketing management classes coupled with industry insights from esteemed
guest speakers - all designed to promote practical applications within real-world scenarios.
Experiential learning opportunities helped further expand upon acquired skills by allowing
hands-on application outside typical classroom settings.
Through delving into its contents readers will gain deeper insight into my thought processes,
creative problem-solving skills, and tenacity as I navigated through challenging academic
projects.
Introduction:
The GET2TEST assessment has proved to be an invaluable academic tool that has provided me
with detailed and comprehensive insights into my strengths and weaknesses
in various areas, specifically social innovation, entrepreneurship, and
leadership. Thanks to this assessment's thoroughness, I have been able to
identify several strengths - including creativity, risk-taking abilities as well as control over
different situations. However, it also highlighted specific areas where there is ample room for
improvement such as enhancing autonomy levels while achieving goals more efficiently.
Social Innovation Proposition:
To further my academic pursuits in the field of social innovation, I took part in a research project
that aimed to address one of Lebanon's most pressing issues - frequent electricity outages. The
objective was to devise an innovative solar energy solution capable of providing sustainable and
reliable power access to communities affected by this crisis.
Working collaboratively as a team, we dedicated ourselves diligently to proposing a
groundbreaking approach that has shown promising potential for resolving the issue at hand.
Throughout this challenging yet highly rewarding experience, it dawned on me that my strengths
lay primarily in creativity and risk-taking - attributes that proved invaluable during our quest for
finding novel solutions.
However, upon conducting an exhaustive analysis of our work process after its completion, I
identified certain areas where improvements could have been made with regard specifically to
control and autonomy over operations. These aspects would likely have had significant impacts
on my ability as well as others involved within such multi-disciplinary projects like ours;
therefore, there is much room for personal growth through learning from previous experiences
Evaluation of GET2TEST Results:
Based on the results of my GET2TEST assessment, I have identified several areas where I excel
academically. According to the assessment, I scored a remarkable 92% and 100% in creative
thinking and risk-taking respectively which demonstrates my aptitude for exploring innovative
solutions to complex problems while maintaining a bold attitude towards taking calculated risks.
Furthermore, the test highlighted exceptional levels of resilience (83%) and adaptability (81%),
indicating that even under challenging circumstances or unforeseen changes, I possess an innate
ability to rebound from setbacks quickly. Nevertheless, there are still some aspects requiring
improvement such as control and autonomy with only a score of 42%, implying that there is
room for growth when it comes to assuming greater responsibility over situations. Additionally,
task orientation received a score of 56%, highlighting further potential enhancement in terms of
being more goal-driven and productive within set timelines.
Ranked SWOT Analysis:
Strengths:
I am proud to say that I have achieved a High Creative score of 92% in all four
tests. Additionally, my consistently high GET Scores ranging from 74% to 83% showcase my
determination and dedication towards achieving excellence. Furthermore, with strong Risk
Taking and Control scores ranging from 75% to 100%, I believe that I possess the necessary
skills required for success in both personal and professional aspects of life. Overall, these
achievements reflect not only on my abilities but also the hard work and effort put into every
endeavor undertaken by me.
Weaknesses:
Upon reviewing my results, I have come to realize that while my autonomy score falls within
the moderate range at 50-67%, there is ample room for improvement in this
area. Perhaps by exploring new ways of taking initiative and being more self-directed,
I can enhance this important aspect of personal growth.
When it comes to achieving success, however, it seems that I am hovering around an average
level with a consistent score of 67% across all four tests. While not necessarily bad news, it does
suggest that there may be areas where I could push myself further or set loftier goals for greater
achievement moving forward.
Opportunities:
As I strive to improve myself, I am constantly working on developing my
autonomy skills. Through this process, I have come to understand the importance of decision-
making abilities and how they can impact my life. By learning to rely more on myself, instead of
others for guidance, I have become more confident in making choices that reflect my values. In
addition to honing my autonomy skills, another area that is crucially important for me is utilizing
my strong creative skills. For me, exploring new ideas and innovative solutions brings a sense of
excitement and fulfillment like nothing else can. Whether it's through brainstorming sessions or
simply jotting down ideas as they come up during daily activities - creativity is something that
fuels me every day. By continuously improving both these areas –my autonomy & creative skill
sets- I hope not only to better navigate life’s challenges but also make significant contributions
towards personal growth!
Threats:
As an individual, I may face certain limitations that can affect my ability to think creatively in
different situations. For instance, there might be instances where I lack diverse experiences or
exposure to various industries that could hinder my creativity while tackling unique challenges. I
must broaden my horizon by exploring new opportunities and gaining insights from
experts in multiple fields. Furthermore, external factors such as changes in the industry or
economic instability could impede my risk-taking abilities despite having strong scores on those
parameters. As an individual with aspirations and goals, it's essential for me
not to get deterred by these unforeseen circumstances and to find ways of adapting myself
according to the situation so that I can achieve success irrespective of the
challenging environments around me.
Entrepreneurship Action Plan:
In order to fully leverage my strengths and overcome my limitations, I propose the following
action plan. Firstly, I plan to attend workshops and seminars related to diverse fields to broaden
my knowledge and experiences. Additionally, I will seek out mentors and experts in various
industries to gain their insights and perspectives on creative problem-solving. Furthermore, I will
regularly engage in activities such as brainstorming sessions and idea generation exercises to
foster my creative skills.
In terms of dealing with external threats, I will continuously monitor the industry and economic
climate to anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans accordingly. I also plan
to cultivate a mindset of adaptability and resilience by practicing mindfulness, meditation, and
other stress-management techniques. Moreover, I intend to create a network of like-minded
individuals who can offer emotional support and advice during times of uncertainty.
The ability to think creatively is vital in today's fast-paced and ever-changing world, and those
who possess this skill have a greater chance of success. Therefore, by implementing this action
plan and continuously striving towards personal growth and development, I can enhance my
creative abilities, overcome my limitations, adapt to changing circumstances and achieve my
entrepreneurial goals.
Conclusion:
In summary, the use of evaluation tools such as GET2TEST and SWOT analysis can be highly
beneficial in identifying areas for personal and professional growth. Through the process of
SWOT analysis, it was possible to identify areas that require improvement and also growth
opportunities. The identification of these areas has led to the creation of an effective
entrepreneurship action plan which prioritizes a focus on expanding educational opportunities
and networking efforts. By continually assessing personal strengths and weaknesses,
entrepreneurs can remain adaptable and well-equipped to overcome challenges as they arise.
Additionally, utilizing evaluation tools can contribute to data-driven decision-making and
increase overall effectiveness in achieving success.
