1. World’s first stamp Penny Black was issued in 1840 in England. It

1. ‘My stamp’ is the brand name for personalized sheets of Postage Stamps of
India Post. The personalization is achieved by printing a thumb nail photograph
of the customer images and logos of institutions or images fo artwork, heritage
buildings, famous tourist places, historical cities, wildlife, other animals and birds
etc., alongwith the selected Commemorative Postage Stamps.
2. ‘My Stamp’ was first introduced in India during the World Philatelic Exhibition,
‘INDIPEX-2011’.

24. Sale of commemorative stamps:- The commemorative stamps remaining
unpaid after six months may be released for sale along with definitive stamps. At
the end of six months stamps on personalities, events and institutions should be
transferred to the Philatelic Bureau of GPO at the Circle HQ of the Circle to which
the stamp relates.
