COIL
The Tesla coil was created by Nikola Tesla around 1980, it is a
resonant transformer capable of generating a very high voltage with
great simplicity of construction. Large coils have already been used
in primitive radio transmitters, electrotherapy devices and
high voltage generators used in physics. And a project that is still
there is much to be explored and that can be developed from
simple materials.
OBJECTIVES
• The initial step of the project is to turn on a lamp as soon as it approaches the
coil
• Exhibition of a homemade Tesla Coil as a power source, using
easily accessible and recyclable materials.
• from the exhibition and presentation, promote awareness, knowledge and
discussion about the theme
• Present a way to transmit cheap and sustainable energy, instigating the
reflection on the conventional use of the technologies we have today.
• Exploring the functioning of a homemade Tesla Coil
JUSTIFICATION
• It is one of the most attractive setups for a scientific fair. Working
with a series of tensions, frequencies, wave emission, etc. One of the most
spectacular electric demonstrations.
• allowing a first contact with high frequency alternating currents, their
applications, in addition to allowing advances in the improvement of the device's performance.
• Tesla envisioned not only using his invention for wireless communications around the world,
but also for the distribution of electrical energy, without the use of wires.
• Brought numerous innovations to the field of engineering, especially in the area of
electricity, through its analysis we have a better understanding of various topics of
Electrical engineering
• By reproducing one of your experiments, even if it is the minimum possible, we highlight
and we share the simplicity and brilliance of the inventor in the proposed interpretations.
METHODOLOGY
The first step will be the base of the coil on which we are going to
wrap the 7 meters of enameled copper wire around the pipe
The copper wire must be very firm and together with the PVC.
to generate energy. Shortly after, we will connect the wire to
1.2 mm enamelled copper over the already existing copper wire
wrapped. Next we will carry out the electrical part of the
coil, connecting the thicker copper wire
one end negative and the other end positive and the wire
thinner copper in another input of
transistor, these same wires will be connected to the
resistor. The switch will be plugged into the resistor as well.
to the 1.2 mm copper wire connected to a 9 volt battery
volts.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS:
The result we are expecting from our project is that the coil
generate enough energy and be able to turn on the lamp as soon as
she approaches. The most important thing about our project is to carry it out from
simple, homemade, and economically cheap way to be a
interesting and accessible project. We managed to solve the problems and
difficulties that arose during the course of the project.
CONCLUSION
The Tesla coil stands out for its simplicity and vision. Checking-
the operation of transformers in an unexpected way,
together with the electronic minutiae necessary for the circuit
operate correctly. The study provides (or) the discovery of
fascinating trajectory of Nikola Tesla, and demonstrated the need for
