Burst End (バーストエンド, Burst End) is one of Melia's burst Battle Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected. It is an explosion of ether that reduces both the physical and ether defences of all enemies in range. As a burst Art, it cannot be used unless Melia's Element Burst aura is active.

Overview

Burst End's defensive drop affects both physical and ether defence, but it's 2.5x stronger for ether, so while it helps both sides, it benefits ether attackers (like Melia) significantly more. It can probably only be used once per burst aura unless Melia intentionally withholds her main source of damage (or is very lucky), so using it should be the time for the team to dump damage into the enemy before it wears off. However, its range is so large it can easily catch enemies that were previously not engaged in battle, so Melia has to be careful about her surroundings.
