Covert Stance (ハイドスタンス, Hide Stance) is one of Sharla's aura Battle Arts in Xenoblade Chronicles. It reduces Sharla's current aggro and prevents her from gaining more during its effect.

Overview

The initial drop in aggro provided is good as a "get off me" manoeuvre, but the aura's real power is in giving Sharla a chance to do whatever without generating any aggro at all. It takes a bit to set up, so if someone badly needs healing right now it's probably not a good idea to wait until this activates, but if it can be pulled off it makes for a great way to avoid attention. It's probably better-used before a Chain Attack to hide from the aggro generated from damage.

Note that Cool Off will interrupt aruas, so it is not a good idea to use this one if heat is high, unless Sharla really badly needs to hide right now.
