Charge Your Device

Temple Libraries provides chargers for your mobile devices and laptops.

Charging lockers for mobile devices

Charging lockers are available for mobile devices (phones or tablets) that use a Micro-USB, USB-C or Lightning cable connector. Charging lockers are located in the following libraries:

  • Charles Library: 1st floor in Stella's Cafe and the 24/7 study area, 2nd floor by room 210, 3rd floor in the periodicals reading room, and 4th floor in the printing alcove.
  • Ginsburg Health Sciences Library: 1st floor by the Innovation Space
  • Krausz Library of Podiatric Medicine: Across from the information desk
  • Ambler: Next to the public-use printers

Instructions for using the lockers are next to or on top of the lockers. These charging lockers do not require coins to operate.

Charging bricks for laptops

Charging bricks are available for charging your laptop and can be used instead of a power outlet. Charging bricks are dispensed from kiosks located throughout Charles Library. Please note that you will need your laptop’s power cable in order to use a charging brick.

All charging devices are available on a first come, first served basis. Contact a library tech assistant at the One Stop Assistance desk with questions.

Battery-powered outlets

Select desks on the second and third floors of Charles Library have battery-powered outlets. These outlets can be used to charge most devices with a standard power outlet plug. These outlets are not able to charge or power newer 16in MacBooks and other larger laptops which have 100W+ charging.
